ink cartridges are made in such a way that they have electronic parts which communicate with the printer to get the correct information in order to work.
did you purchase from dell or retailer. did you get the exact part number and not a just look alike cartridges.
Also try reinstalling the drivers by removing them and installing again, scan the pc for registry errors before and after uninstalling and again after installation of the drivers with a programme such as uniblue registry booster or tuneup utilities to clear your pc or errors.
Dell does not have Mac drivers for this printer. Your Dell printer was made by Lexmark and if you can find a similar printer on Lexmark’s website, it might or might not work. You can also try Gutenprint for Mac OS X which may or may not work.
Hi, try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for your printer and ensure that the printer its detected. If it is detected, contact printer support for troubleshoting. It is a possible issue with the printer. :)
This is your driver causing the problem. If the download was for several printers you can try to reinstall the driver manually for your specific printer. If the driver was supposed to be for your specific printer then dell has put out a bad driver which they do sometimes. You can try alerting them through their forums,their customer support, or call them and once they know they have a problem, they're usually pretty quick to fix it.I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver first though sometimes they don't install right if the computer is under a heavy load.
turn off the printer.
disconnect the printer from the computer.
restart the computer.
conencted the printer after the computer is up, and all applications are loaded.
the computer should inform you the printer is connected.
send a test page to the printer.
