It is inappropriate because you have given me my solution - to buy a new TV. Am still waiting for my £8.00 back - is this a con?

Just replaced the lamp on my WD-Y65 Mitsubishi...the status light is a solid red...the tv doesn't turn on when I press the power button; not even the system reset button did anything...any suggestions??

Apparently there is a separate "reset" for the lamp..if u google your owners manual & download it (save it to ur computer!) you should be able to find it there..or you can always try doing a search on to see if you can find a video to help...I have the same TV..I love it but apparently there is a bunch of common problems with the TV, and having to replace the lamp and or housing is truly a pain & expensive!!! If you google the TV with the model you can find alot of useful info about the issues this TV has!

Green light flashes under timer when tv is turned on. no picture

Sounds to me that the DM is the cause. If this model is 7-8 years old, it uses a DM that is no longer available or supported by Mitsubishi. You could confirm this by calling Mitsubishi at 1800-332-2119. This is there Customer Service Line.
Hope this helps,

HHMMMMMMM. 12 error code is no fault code. This is very old set with a reputation of dumping it's memory setting for no particular reason. The board need is no longer available and if it was requires extensive setup. Very costly to repair. Replace the set. Very old. Tubes probably weakening.
