NEED TO REPLACE VACUUM BELT.
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. One thing when you request to replace the vacuum belt, we need to know the actual brand name and model # of the vacuum in order to give you correct information on a how to change the belt, this is just an example of an average belt change. Generally you turn the vacuum upside down to see the bottom plate, and then you remove the bottom plate by screws, clips or levers. Then you can remove the bottom plate – if not then the top cover will come off instead. Then you can remove the old belt and install the new belt. 1st. hook the new belt around the brushroll pulley first, then reinstall the brushroll, then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a hook on the end to pull or stretch the belt onto the motor pulley, then track the belt in a straight line until it is running in a straight line. then re-install the bottom plate or top cover. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Thanks, Don the Vac Man

Lay the vacuum upside down, remove the bottom plate, remove the brush roll and belt, install new belt around motor shaft and brush roll, pull on brush roll to stretch belt far enough to drop brush roll back into place.

Replace belt

On that Eureka Canister, you're going to want to unscrew the cover on the base of the vacuum in order to gain access to the brushroll and belt. That vacuum takes a type EXT-U belt. Remove the brushroll and the old belt and stretch the new belt on using the brushroll. Click it into place and secure the cover back on.

Vacuum brushes won't turn. It still has suction.

That means that you need to replace the belt that turns the roller brush. They naturally stretch and wear and you should replace this belt yearly. Here is the belt you need and the manual which has instructions on how to change it:

Replace the belt

Once the bottom plate has been removed, the motor shaft is silver, but hard to see. hook the new belt on it first. then start rolling on the top of the large black pulley to install.

How do I replace the belt on my DD Featherlite Vacuum cleaner?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Knowing the brand name (Royal) and model number for the vacuum but I can give you a generic way of changing the belt. You 1st need to remove the bottom plate by screws, levers or clips, then you can get @ the belt, if not then you should remove the top cover and then you can get @ the belt. 1st remove the belt from the brushroll and install the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line so that is running in a straight line. Replace the bottom plate and the belt change should be done. Please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How to replace belt on Hoover Wind tunnel vacuum
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. All you would need to do is to remove the bottom plate by screws, clips or levers and that will get @ the belt(s) – some Hoover WindTunnels have one and the self propelled models have 2 – you can cut off the belts or slide them off and 1st you need to hook the larger belt onto the brushroll & if you have 2 belts hoof both onto the brushroll pulley and then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a hook on the end and pull or stretch the belt(s) onto the motor pulley and then track the belts in a straight line and replace the bottom plate and then start up your vacuum. The recommended belt change for a vacuum is every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

1800 vacuum cleaner belt replacement

How do you get into the belt to replace it?

Not knowing the brand name of the vacuum other than the 1800 vacuum cleaner belt replacement, normally the belt is located @ the bottom the vacuum attached to the brushroll and is held on by either screws, clips, or some even snap on – but mostly they use some type of screws to open the area to replace the belt, if needed contact the company website, include the brand name and the model number and request a schematic of the vacuum and that will give you an exploded view of how the vacuum assm goes together and also shows the belt replacement and how that is connected.
