    My roomba goes in a circle then stops for no apparent reason. It starts again and does the same thing over and over.

    mine is doing the same thing. stops, goes in circles, stops spins again then finally stops and beeps 4 times and turns off.

Blow out the front, dome area with compressed air. All around the little white wheel and the bump sensor in the front of it with air.

Will fix it.

Check all the wheels to make sure that they are ok. Check the sensors on the bottom and make sure they are all clean.

Your bump sensors are malfunctioning... The best thing to do is order a repair kit. I ordered mine from EESolutions.ca and it worked great. I'd recommend them.

clean your filter . mine was doing the same thing and i took everythng apart under it and low and behold it works wonderful now. but now ive lost the lil brass screw that holds the lil brush on ugh

Do you have it set on "spot"? This causes Roomba to start out in circles, expanding and expanding until a certain time and then returns by going in circles, making smaller circles, until it gets to its starting point.
