No, that is not legally possible. However you should be able to use this free alternative from http://www.openoffice.org/ . I use it alot and for everything that I do it seems to be very compatible with the office programs.

Thanks

Need my serial number

You should find the serial number of your computer attached to a label on the casing.
In any case, if implemented by your brand of computer, the 'computer serial number' as recognised by Windows an be obtained using the following 'command prompt' :
wmic bios get serialnumber

What is my registration number

A Registration number is when the computer is registered.
Registered with Microsoft, or perhaps eMachines; for example.

To me an erroneous procedure, as it just gives them Personal information about you, which they DID NOT have, and DO NOT need..........

"Oh get great information about Windblows, or use eMachines (Insert any computer maker here), helpful tech information...."

UH, NOT.........
Nothing good comes from it.......

For a computer that is Not registered, it is just Activated.
The Windows program is Activated.
This requires using the Windows Product Key, which is found on the Back of the computer, or up on the side of the computer tower.

Let these X's represent letters, and numbers.
The Windows product key is 25 characters long,

XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

I purchased a computer and am using Microsoft 2007 every now and then it asks for a key number which I dont know about what it is or where I get one can you help

Your "new" computer includes a "trial' version of Microsoft Office 2007. The "trial-period" is 30 days. After that time, you either must stop using the software, or purchase a license-key for that software (either at a retail computer store, or online via Microsoft's E-commerce web-site) and enter that license-key, when requested.

I am trying to use Microsoft word 2003. The program wants me to enter my Certificate of Authenticity and when I do it comes back invalid. I am typing the 25 digit code on the back of my computer and I...

The number at the back is belongs to the Operating System itself Not for word. If you purchase is bundled check with your reseller If its full version or trial. even if trial reseller should provide the Key. Also you can contact to Microsoft to verify.

Good Luck

I have a gateway computer with microsoft excel. To setup, I need a product key number. The number on the back of my computer does not work. It shows invalid number when typed in. How can I fix this...

All original buys come with the installation CD's of Microsoft Office as well as the OS, check the cover of that CD. If you are unable to find it you can contact gateway and let them know the S/N of your computer and they might help you.
You are trying to put in the OS numbers into the office installation this will not work. You need Microsoft Office keys, please refer to the place you bought it.
Thanks

HELP!

Do you need to reinstall MS Word or was it already installed. If it was, I wonder why you need the number now? If it was already installed there is a free and safe utility that will allow you to read the serial number from your system. Download Belarc from this link http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

This will check all microsoft sotware on your system and reveal the keys. It will also give you a useful system analysis, for example it will tell you if your microsoft security is fully up to date etc. It is well respected, spyware free software.

Alternatively, if you're using Windows XP, you could use system restore to return your computer to a point where you were previously able to use MS Word, then use Belarc and record the number.

If you have reinstalled the software, or you are using a new computer, I'm afraid that you will need to find your CD case or obtain a new number. Or recover the number from your previous computer. Hope this helps....
