You should be able to get an explanation from the manual (sounds like imminent battery death warning!). If you haven't go a manual, you can get instructions from the Citizen web site.

Go to "citizen.com" and on the upper right there is a menu. Click on "technical
support" and then on "setting instructions"

Fill in the information required from the back of your watch and then click on
"get setting instructions"

or

Go to "citizen.com" and click on "watch finder".

Put your watch model into the search box on the left and click on
"search".
Click on the watch to view details.
On the right is a small menu, click on "get technical info"

On the right you you will see a list of instructions you can download.

Removing the beep sound from an avia stopwatch?

If your Avia stopwatch has no option for muting the beeps, there is a very simple way to achieve a semi-permanent mute capability.

1. Using a small screw driver, remove the case back of the stop watch.
2. You will see on the inside of the back panel, a small circle stuck to it. This is the piezo speaker that beeps.
3. Take a small piece of tape and apply it to the speaker. Best choice would be a smooth painter's tape (blue) or electrical tape (black). But thick clear packing tape might work as well. It doesn't need to be a big piece -- just large enough to be in position between the speaker and the metal contact from the stopwatch module.
4. Re-assemble the watch.
5. Test for sound.

I changed the battery in my timex expedition watch, and now the alarm doesn't sound. The watch is set for Beep ON, but it never beeps.

Same thing happened to me, took watch to watch shop, they changed the battery and the chimes stopped working. Simple fix, the faceplate was put back on wrong. Unscrew the face plate and turn it upside down (or right side up depending on your POV) the circle on the inside of the faceplate will line up with the springs inside the watch and the chimes will start working again. If you have a pair of eyeglasses screw drivers, like I did, you can do this yourself.

MY K3 WATCH HAS STARTED TO STOP AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE AND NEEDS A SHAKE TO START IT AGAIN do you know where to contact for repairs in the uk

Since your watch is an automatic type, it will stop if it is not worn.

Shake it gently side to side for a few minutes to fully wind it up and it should work for a day or two.

This type of watch needs to be worn daily to keep it wound up.

If you still have problems, then try following this link to the UK dealer http://www.sovietwatches.co.uk/index.php?app=gbu0&ns=contact&sid=cz3i7cljnk4r1os1207uy2xqk5gz839r

My G-Shock doesn't beep every hour, how do i get it to do that?

To make it beep every hour you must first put it on the alarm mode. Then, press the START-STOP button until a little bell shows up at the left. Hope it helps!

I have an arnette digital watch, which beeps on the hour. I can't figure out how to switch this very annoying feature off! I can switch the alarm on and off by pressing the start/stop and reset buttons...

I have an Arnette watch as well and have long lost its manual. The model of my watch is AR 2201. Before it didn't beep, but after my move (where the watch must have been bouncing around a lot), it started to on the hour, EVERY HOUR. It has been driving me crazy. Hopefully this will help you, though the answer comes so late. For my watch, I pressed the ST/STP and RESET buttons (which both happen to be on the right side of the face) simultaneously. The watch beeped when I did this and I saw the little bell icon disappear! Good luck with yours.

Nike watch

In TIME mode - not ALARM - top right hand button marked "START/LAP" toggles hourly beep on/off. As not in ALARM menu, easy to put on unintentionally.
