Ford e-250 transmission problems

My Econoline 250 with 4.2 lost fluid from hose leak, fixed leak everything was normal for 3 days till I drove it on highway. When it went into overdrive lost forward power. Turned off OD and did ok for a while. Lost forward gears slowly, put in fluid, hard to tell when full. Reverse is fine but have to rev up engine to get forward to engage, then everything is fine at lights and such till take out of drive, then have to rev engine to about 2500rpm to engage drive. Help?

Main breaker can't be stitched back on after neighborhood power outage in our home, yet all the neighbors have power except us! Why are we the only ones without power?

You're trying to load the entire house on the main breaker all at once. There significantly less stress on the main breaker if you start it like this:

1) Shut off all the circuit breakers.
2) Turn on the main circuit breaker.
3) Turn the other circuit breakers on, one at a time.

Good luck!

Whirlpool oven ''feature not available''

That happened to my fairly new Whirlpool double oven. But I remembeedr the power in the neighborhood had flickered earlier in the day. So I went to the circuit breaker and shutoff power to the oven for about 30 seconds and turned back on. Everything normal now. I just assumed the slight flicker in the power affected to programming.

Phillips dvr won't power up. Lost power at house

Try hooking it up to another (working) electrical outlet. If that doesn't work, there's several possible problems.

The most likely is that the box was fried when a larger-than-usual current traveled down the line (or even down the coax if lightning struck and your system isn't adequately grounded); the electrical outlet is either pushing too much or too little power; or your house's ground polarity is reversed.

More than likely your box is bad. If you don't know very much about electrical systems, don't go messing with your ground or any outlets without a wall plate.

Whiny dvr

sounds like the hard drive in the dvr is bad - they're easy to replace though - just follow the steps below.

  1. Step 1 Disconnect your DVR by unplugging any cables connected to it, including the power cable. Remove the screws located on the back of the unit that hold the top cover in place. There are usually two to six of these screws, depending on the model of DVR. Lay these screws in a safe place where they won't get lost, and slide the cover off.
  2. Step 2 Locate the hard drive. This is a rectangular metal unit that measures 3 1/2 inches wide. It is usually located away from the other hardware, often in its own bracket. There will be two to four screws holding it in place. Remove these, disconnect the cables connected to the drive, and slide it out of the system.
  3. Step 3 Check the label of the drive to see if it is IDE or SATA. It will say which one of the two interfaces it uses. Any replacement desktop hard drive of the same interface type will work in your DVR. Avoid using a laptop drive, because they won't fit and aren't designed for the high-stress environment of video streaming.
  4. Step 4 Place the new drive into the brackets, and replace the screws that were removed from the old one. Plug the data and power cables into this drive. They will insert the same way they came out of the old one. Once the drive has been installed, put the cover back on the DVR unit, and replace the screws. Hook the DVR back up to the television, and it will be ready to record.

Lost instructions to go video sima corp. product id#CT-200

thanks for reading the post, althought, the problem was for information (sima/go-video) is a piece of hardware attached to the tv/dvd player/dvr satelite/dvd-r/ via a switched box. the instructions for the use of the sima -go-video. the problem was solved. it was a dirty connector. lost audio signal. for 2 days ran the lines and re check all, to no avail. did a split screen ocr on the panasonic viva HD TV system. finally i was told on a yearly basis, to unplug and replug all connections several times to clean the jacks via connectors. connectors are fib-optic and gold plated connectors into a 10 port switched box. the major problem is with the tv, it has geo-metric screen in which has to turned off prior to movement, get the magnets to re-do and balance the screen. and re set and locked in all settings. the tv is approx. 250lbs system on a custom build stand w/comm wheels. its a pain. i know WHAT your thinking lost of power/or black out. battery back-up system attached. thanks again for responding. gina

You lost the 300v line to the tubes that pulls down the brightness. Trace back 300v line to power supply.

All recorded programs lost

when tech support says they've never heard of a problem like this they are either inexperienced or lying. there was most likely a small power surge that caused it to reset like that. if the problem persists, insist on a replacement reciever and consider getting a computer surge protector with a small battery back-up.
