Hi, I had the same problem with my Emerson microwave. As I rent out the house, and the turntable stopped working while I was away, my rental agent bought another Emerson microwave. On my return I tried using the new (brown) plastic turntable on the old microwave, and found it worked perfectly. Maybe it would be possible for you to order a replacement turntable part. The turntable is a seperate intenty from the microwave itself, I would presume that the switch that turns off the turntable when the door is opened needs replacement.

The original problem was probably a bad turntable motor, which is pretty easy to replace.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Now I'd say you have a bad door switch (whether upper or lower depends on the model number) or a problem with the door switch mount.

try pulling on the plastic drive and inspect it you just pull up on it to remove it
