HI
First there is the outside cover there is plenty screws in it unscrew it and take it off. then you will see either the cd jammed take it out and put the surounder on it. If there is a shield over the cd box take the top off and then take the cd out!

it's a defect.... take it back.... but just know that one of your cd's is jammed inside the 5 disk changer.,... I had to take it totally apart and the cd was missing chunks. I put it back together to no avail... it won't even turn on now... so back it goes to Walmart now.
