It has an error e 74

E74 means a hardware malfunction, might be due to a bad memory storage deive attached to the Xbox 360 which is the hard drive (HDD). Steps to do:

• turn of the console and remove the HDD
• restart the console without HDD
• if it works without the E74 error, the HDD is bad and needs replacement
• if still having the same error even without the HDD, it's is an internal hardware failure inside the sytem already

If all else fails, please contact Microsoft Xbox Support for it ti be repaired. Hope this helps.. Cheers!

My xbox 360 has error 74

The E74 malfunction is a problem believed to be associated with the system's video output cables and/or hardware scaler chip. The problem involves unusual screen patterns, the appearance of an on-screen error message, and finally a flashing red light in the lower right quadrant of the power ring. When a system suffers from the failure the on-screen message reads "E74 System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support."

You could send it in to Microsoft of you can follow the steps as outlined in this You Tube video.

Xbox 360 e74 error

Having the e-74 code is when the video chip on the 360 over heats and becomes un soldered your best bet is to turn the 360 on with a towel over it and wait for 3 red lights the call microsoft and tell them the 3 lights issue dont mention the 1 light or it will cost you dearly around 150$
