It may be simply a bad solder connection on the board where the connector is located...to determine this you will need to disassemble the unit to gain access to the pc board...you will need to look at the underside of the board(usually it's green) and look at the solder connections where the plug connector is...these solder connections should be clean and shiny...if they look like there is cracks around the pins where the connector solders to the board, then you will need to resolder the connector...if the connections look ok then you may be able to obtain one from radio shack...or try casio, or even ebay for the connector

You can get that fixed if you can find someone who can solder. The jacks wear out over time on a lot of things. The jacks themselves are worth about $1 but it is the labour to open the case and solder a new one in.
The contacts in the jacks are spring loaded so these can wear or get damaged etc. So eventually they won;t make good contact and you get your problem. You see this a lot on laptops. You can twist or apply pressure on the plug until you get it to power up. This is more luck than anything when it works and eventually it will get to a point where it won;t connect anymore. This really is a simple repair but finding someone to solder the new jack in is the problem.
