How do I open the fuel door on a 2007 chevy avalanche

My guess is the rubber bumpers for the fuel door are missing causing the door to sit in too far. Probably need like a pocket screwdriver to pop it open. New bumpers are available.

The oven door has fallen off and we need a replacement silver bracket to refix the door back together

Maybe pencil sketch the other bracket or picture of it. Might be able to get another at hardware store. Menards, even a farm store might carry them. Usually little parts can be used for a chicken coop or rabbit pen. Might have luck lookin for your small bracket part.

You need to replace that bumper or switch setting so the lights don't come on at all.

I hav a coil nailer the problem coming is it fires double nail right after one blank shot , i hav tried everything by replacing its all types of O rings also changed the piston but the problem still...

Remove nails from the canister and test fire the gun very rapidly with side door open against hard rubber (old tire or coiled up rubber hose ) to absorb the energy. Look for driver and feeder to move in time together and driver should return to top each time. If feeder appears to lag behind, check feeder orings and air passage to feeder piston. If driver appears to come out out nose too far or if it does not go back to top every time suspect problem with bumper or cylinder check seal. Look at feed check built into the side door. These must make contact with nails to prevent miss fire. If all appears to look normal, replace the TVA6 valve if the firing pin fits/feels loose in body of the valve. Miss fire occurs when nail checks do not hold nails in place (feed checks on door and feed piston) and or the piston does not go all the way back up so the nail can not feed into place. Less often, miss fire is caused by lower bumper missing pieces /cracking and the crumbeling bumper pieces enter the feed piston chamber preventing the feeder from making full travel forward. One more area to check is the head /headvalve. Remove head and pull out headvalve. Remove fine scratches on surface of head where orings make contact (use 400 grit paper) and lube with silicone paste lube (sold at Lowes in the plumbing department). Finally check the cylinder seal sitting on top of the cylinder. It should fit very snugly against the cylinder and not turn. If it can be turned, replace with new or remove and apply RTV sealant and replace, then wait 24 hours before use. Good luck

We have a very old panasonic microwave that makes single bang sound when it is started. is it safe to operate?

When the high voltage microwave is energized, its magnetic field pulls the right side of the oven cover inward.

When the oven is manufactured, and rubber bumper is glued to the transformer.

Over the years the glue can break loose, allowing the thump to recur.

It's safe, just a little startling.

Push your hand against the right side as you start it and see if that muffles it.

If so, that's what's happening.

Loose Oven door handle

Hi,
You may have to get some loctite brand paste in a tube for applying to the threads of the bolts that hold it on.
This will prevent the screws from loosening.
Another way would be to get some spring washers or star washers at your local hardware store such as menards.

Can't open rear compartment

To seperate the two body halves: 1-Set the vacuum on it's wheels & open the front door. 2-Place a wide screwdriver blade just between the reaer cover and the rubber bumper and tap the screwdriver on the side to push the bumper forward towards the door a little bit. 3-Grasp the bumper and pull it straight out. 4-Leave the vacuum halves together...flip the vac over on it's top. 5-Put your palms against each wheel with your fingers in between the body halves..pull each side out just a little and snap the lower body upwards. It will then come apart. 6-You can then mark the wires on the cordwinder for corresct replacement afer the repair. Make sure you put the bumpers back on each I-Beam before you put it back together. (they don't need to be removed). And the FLAT end of the rubber bumper is against the front door. Good Luck !
