The unit may be drawing more current than the outlet can withstand. Also check to see if the chord is secured and properly installed. The outlet itself may have a loose wire so check to make sure it's good. Otherwise it could simply be the reset switch is burnt out and will keep tripping no matter what. Replace if neccessary. Hope this helped.

Gfci receptacle reset

There should be a reset button on the GFCI. If this keeps tripping, or will not stay in, the receptacle is bad, or there is a ground fault causing it to trip.

No power

Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the
treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch
protrudes as shown, the circuit breaker has
tripped. To reset the circuit breaker, wait for five
minutes and then press the switch back in.

Pro form 365 won't start

Dear Sir:
I will help you, please do the exact step:
PROBLEM: The power does not turn on
SOLUTION: a. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet (see page 10). Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 10. Important: The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. b. After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is fully inserted into the console. c. Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the circuit breaker, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in.
Finally: check, the breaker from the home, if there tripped, check this, and Reset.
I will recomend when you finally set up, install Stabilizer Voltage, is cheaper us$15,00 aprox
Thank you in advance, sincerely.
Blessing, if you need additional help, please contact me.

I HAVE A FEDDERS AIR CONDITIONER MODEL AED24E7F-C THIS UNIT TRIPS THE RESET BUTTON ONCE IN A GREAT WHILE IT RUNS FOR HOURS OR DAYS ON END AND THEN TRIPS. IT TAKE AWHILE AFTER THAT BEFORE I CAN RESET...

The reset button is part of the cord. The cord has built in arc detection. This is a complex circuit that monitors the unit and senses potentially dangerous sparks or arcing inside the internal components of the A/C (motors, switches, etc.) It sounds like the problem is getting worse - as they usually do. Sparking and arcing happen when dirt, corrosion, etc. accumulates and can result in pitted contacts. All of these conditions only make the sparks and arcs worse. Page 1 of the manual (left column) says this:

If the Arc Detection Device has tripped, the
reset button will pop up.

Follow these steps to reset the Arc Detection
Device:

1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet
2. Press the reset button
3. Plug the unit back into electrical outlet
4. Check to see if power has returned to the unit

Testing

You should test the Arc Detection Device
equipped power cord monthly, after every major
electrical storm, or if power to your Room Air
Conditioner has been interrupted.

Follow these steps to test the Arc Detection
Device:

1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet
2. Press the reset button
3. Plug the unit back into electrical outlet
4. Press test button. Unit should trip and reset
button will pop up.
5. Press reset button again for use
If above test fails, stop using the air
conditioner and contact customer service by
calling the following toll-free number:
1-800-332-6658 or email:
customerservice@fedders.com

I hope this helps & good luck!

The reset button that came on the cord of my Fedders model AED24E7F-C keeps tripping after a short while. Otherwise the unit blows cold and works fine. I can hit the off button when it is working fine...

Do you have anything else on the same circuit? I have heard about many of these units, not just Fedders, that will not run on a circuit that has another appliance or something that is pulling a lot of amperage. Also, check and make sure the receptacle is not worn and the plug is loose fitting. Other wise, you definitely could have a weak internal connection in the cord. Hope this helps.

Do you have a model and serial number so i can spec components and a diagram?
The reset is a GFCI electrical or a high limit temperature switch?
If its a GFCI you have a leak or a short or the pump is drawing to many amps likely due to something in the impeller or plumbing restricting flow. Potentially its a shaft seal issue.
How hot is the tub when it trips? Try running it cold and see if it trips. If it doesnt and its still cold its the pump. If its hot and you set it to cold its a stuck relay or contactor or triac and therefore tripping a high limit switch.
If this is a hot tub/spa the pressure switch may be an issue. It shuts down the heat typically and keeps the pumps running.
If a reset switch of any type is tripped to many times it will continue to trip at a lower and lower value.
Just some tips, hope they help. Get back to me with some info.

Mixer will not come on. is there a reset buton?

Most of the sets come with a reset trip /load trip which can be seen on the side or underside of the unit.
so please check your power cord to leadd to the unit .If there is none it wil go to the power switch or the speed control unit.
Check the switch trace power to the motor, if power comes in , the motor must be checked.

Faulty safety power cord...

You can by-pass it by simply connecting the 2 wires together. Obviously the safety it is supposed to protect you from will not work, but it can get you by instill a replacement can be found. It seems like the surge burnt the coil out on the switch. If you are conscious of the heater and what its going ,you should be safe. They made these things a long time without a trip switch on the cord. It just requires some common sense.
