The icemaker system on these machines requires 3 things:
A working ice maker. a working water valve, and 28 degrees or better in the freezer.
Nothing else in the frig controls ice production. Most times the water valve goes first. It is recommended to replace it when replacing the ice maker. Replace the water valve now and see if the ice production starts up. If it does not you will need to get a new ice maker, the old ones are not repairable.

Is there a water flow adjustment?

Yes. On most refrigerator ice makers by the front panel on the right hand side there is a small screw adjuster that controls the amount of time that the water solenoid closes to admit water in. Adjusting it changes the size of the ice cubes from small to large or vice versa.

How do I test the individual switches on my kenmore, model 106.9738310 icemaker

If you pull off the toe plate at the bottom, most of the time you will have you tech sheets attach to it. I think there is one for the ice maker. Sounds like a possible water valve bad

I have tested the valve and it's is opening and closing but the icemaker keeps putting power on the valve everytime it cycles and never stops. The valve is shutting off water each time. What in the...

Yes, every time the icemaker cycles, it will switch in power to the icemaker water valve. the icemaker is pretty much a standalone device. All it needs is power and water supply, and valve. If it has both, and is not working properly, then the icemaker is bad.

GE side by side refrig/freezer Mod. TFH24JWTA WH. Ice maker stopped working, stop/start wire is down (on). Get water through the door, but not sure if it goes to the ice maker. Ice maker is empty of water....

usually yes if no water to icemaker could be water valve solenoid. . first you can remove cover on icemaker and put the unit thru a test mode. find the plastic or medal cam in center of icemaker head when cover is removed., theis is a flateblade screw center get a small screwdriver and turn screw counterclockwise for about a 1/4 of a turn , icemaker will start cycling if icemaker ok then it will go througha cycle let it do its thing usually a few minutes for it to cycle, if fills you may have a bad icemaker, if no fill then valve may be bad. make sure you have good water pressure from your water supply that can cause icemaker problems.

Ice maker not working

Check the following:

* Water supply to the fridge

* Open the freezer compartment and check to see if the water inlet fitting is frozen. It can be thawed out with a hair dryer....carefully

* If not the above, check the water valve, usually located on the lower back of the unit behind a cover. It may be malfunctioning or is plugged with debris

* Make sure the stop arm of the ice maker (inside the freezer) isn't stuck in the up position

The icemaker in my Bauknecht KGN 7010 F/F has stopped making ice

First you need to find out if the lie is blocked. Disconnected water feed and try to run water through it into a bucket or sink. If you get water it is a valving problem. Also make sure the filter is clear.

Ice maker

verify the water supply to the valve first, second verify valve to icemaker works(unit has dual valve at rear bottom of fridge, switch plugs, then press water dispenser and see if icemaker fill with water ) if fills icemaker is bad , if not valve is bad. replace one or the other.

Hotpoint HSS25GFP icemaker stopped working

are u sure that model # Is right.. DOnt come up in any of my model data bases Seems like u might of got a bad icemaker.. if the water is coming into the icemaker from the water valve.. icemaker has to have power, to do that... all funtions after that would be controled by the iceaker .. The only other thing i can think of is your refrigerator has to be a certain temp to activate icemaker somewhere around 0 give or take some to be safe
