Power outage i get to scan all channels on remote but can t get it to scan what button or buttons do i have to press to get tv to scan all the channels

This step may could depend on the model of your Insignia TV. The following applies to the Insignia 39" NS-39DR510NA17 . For the first time setup, press the Home button on the Roku remote and select the Antenna TV icon. Use the on-screen prompts to scan for channels.

For subsequent scans, press the Home button on the remote. Select the Settings icon. Navigate to Settings > TV Inputs > Antenna > Scan Again for channels. Select Start finding channels and use the on-screen prompts.

To watch TV, you can use the Antenna TV icon. Alternatively, change the TV source to Antenna TV from the TV Input list. Press the Back button on the Roku remote while watching any TV input (including the TV). You can also use the TV's Power/Input button. With the TV on, quickly press and release the Power button to see the Input list. Press and release the Power button as needed to navigate between available inputs.

How to scan for TV codes on your DIRECTV remote

• Make sure your TV is turned on.
• Slide the mode switch at top of remote to "TV".
• Press and hold the MUTE button. This is located above the number 1 button.
• While still holding down MUTE, press and hold the SELECT button until green light at the top of the remote flashes twice.
• Then enter 9-9-1, the green light on remote should flash twice.
• Point remote at TV and press CHANNEL UP button. Tap the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly until the TV powers off.
• When the TV powers off, press and release the SELECT button.

I would suggest using a Power Scan to program the remote to this TV, if this doesn't work there is a compatibility issue.

Here's how to scan for TV codes on your DIRECTV remote

1.Make sure your TV is turned on.

2.Slide the mode switch at top of remote to "TV".

3.Press and hold the MUTE button. This is located above the number 1 button.

4.While still holding down MUTE, press and hold the SELECT button until green light at the top of the remote flashes twice.

5.Then enter 991, the green light on remote should flash twice.

5b. Press 1 again (it will flash twice again), then you press the power on button at the very top right.

6.Point remote at TV and press CHANNEL UP button. Tap the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly until the TV powers off.

*If you hit channel up very fast, you risk going past the code. Pressing channel down will back it up. I alway hit channel up very fast till the tv turns off, then back it up slowly till it comes back on.

7.When the TV powers off, press and release the SELECT button.

*Note: If the green light flashes three times before TV responds, then all codes have been cycled through. Our remote controls are guaranteed to program to your DIRECTV receiver, however your TV may not be compatible with our remote control.

What you can do is what wecall a "power scan" and it finds the code for your TV to our DISH Networkremote, The first thing you want to do is hold down the clear TV button for 6seconds and then push and release the big red Power button and press andrelease the Channel Up button until the TV turns off and then stop. Then youwill want to press the # button and press the red TV button and make sure yourvolume and mute are working. Sometimes some of the codes we have available for certainbrands of televisions are not compatible with certain models of that brand. Ifnone of the codes are working when trying to address your DISH remote to yourTV, we do have an option to run what we call a channel scan. A channel scanwill basically scan through all possible remote codes, until if finds thecorrect one for your specific TV. Instructions for running a channel scan

1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.(For your case press and hold down the TV mode button), then press (500) in the number keypad, then the pound(#) button once and release. You should see the TV button flash three times.
   
2. Once you have completed the first step you will again press and hold the TV mode button until all the mode button light up at the top of the remote.
3. Press the big red power button on the remote once and release.
   
4. Press the Up button once every second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment.(press the up arrow as if you were changing the channels up). Keep doing this until your TV powers off.
   Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
5. As soon as your TV powers off, Press the POUND (#) button right away. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

Sounds like your TV has lost the DVD channel. Turn off TV and make sure the DVD player is connected to TV and is playing a DVD. Now put you TV on and press the SOURCE or AV button on your TV remote until you can see the DVD channel. In older TVs you may need select channel and tune it manually using the TV setup.
