Hi Maria.
The States USA uses region 1. N.T.S.C.
You need a One for all universal remote control.
If you have 1 of these, contact me and i,ll give you the instructions on how to make the player multi-region.

Hi,
Do the following to make you dvd player region free,
1. Remove disc from tray.
2. Switch off player and unplug from mains.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect mains.
4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc'.
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)

During my recent transfer to a new flat i lost my remote control for my panasonic dvd recorder type DMR EH67. I bought a universal remote control but i did not have the full functions of my lost one. In my...

You can try changing the command mode of the (genuine Panasonic) remote itself, press and hold [ ENTER/OK ] and the number [ 3 ] button together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. Then try the remote with the unit. If it still shows DVD 3 on its display, no matter which button is pressed, reset the main unit to factory default as outlined in the user manual (assuming this model recorder has a tuner, there would be channel buttons on the front - try pressing and holding [ CH/UP ] and [ CH/DOWN ] together - for 5 - 10 seconds, until 'SETUP' appears, then release). This may or may not restore your DVD unit to the default (DVD 1) command mode. (Don't forget to reset the remote back to DVD 1 if you do reset the main unit - press and hold [ ENTER/OK ] + the number [ 1 ] button together as above).

Your new remote may be set to DVD 1 by default while your unit is DVD 3 = different remote command modes.

Universal remote does not work!!!

Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the majority of universal remotes are generic models made from a standard set of codes, so in many cases the codes wont work when they are meant to, be it because its meant for a different software version or it simply wont send a recognizable signal to your units IR sensor. The best bet is to either source a replacement reccomended by the company that makes the product or to sell it and buy a new one with a working remote. Sorry.

Setting the zone of the remote controll

go to the link I am providing, this is a Panasonic user manual for the recorder.
http://www.panasonic.com.au/support/downloads/more_info.cfm?objectID=2199&fileTypeID=2&productCategoryID=54&productID=0&listQueryString=fileTypeID%3D2%26productCategoryID%3D54%26productID%3D0
to reset the time zone is on page 70-71, since US has 3 time zone, you have to look it up and set it according to the manual.

Lvc9016g

I have successfully made hundreds of play-able DVDs from my home video using this Liteon LVC9016G. Overall I like this machine although it is very quirky.

First, I can tell you the only DVD that can work is SONY DVD+R 120min / 4.7GB. NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK RIGHT. I have used some DVD-R: You can record on it since everything appears to work. The got-ya is you cannot play it at all. I am sick of this because I have re-used some tape but ended up with useless DVDs! Take my word for it, I have tried many media like Maxwell or Verbatin. These "other brands" are fine on the computer but not on this machine. I don't know what this machine can detect and see the differences in the media.

The good thing is that I was able to connect the DV port from my camcorder (Sony mini DV) to the dv port on this unit. Cable was not included so I bought one very cheap from eBay. This connection gives the best control as the LiteOn remote control can control the recording from camcorder to the DVD recorder and even make different menu items. This is not a published feature but I figured out. As I said I have made hundreds of home video on this unit and it is very nice (when it works.)

33 channels

you can either try getting the original remote for your player, or buy cheap different universal remotes. i've actually bought remotes that control 8 different devices at the dollar store.each remote & manufactuer controls different devices & settings.just go into the menu setting,[after you program the remote] look for a cable/air setting, then press autoprogram for cable.that should get you passed 32 channels. cheap remotes will vary from$1-$10 & up.you can always return them to the store if they don't work your player. [except the dollar stores.]
good luck.
