Remote control I tried to use this product,that I bought in Hawai,back home in Bulgaria,Europe,but appears we have a different standard.I tried to have it fixed to work in Europe,but succeeded only in changing the zone for the remote.Now Im back in the states,but I don't know how to change the settings of the remote back to zone 2,which,i believe is the zone of the states.Can you help me,please. Maybe it is the power outlet it is in. Try plugging it into a different power outlet and see if that works

To unlock all its locked functions, you must have its original remote control A universal remote control won't go. Try to get its original one. Don't waste more money by buying a universal remote control.

If the prongs are shaped incorrectly then you might have a European model (or if you are in Europe then you might have an American Model). The AC adapter (the big block) should be rated for use in North America and Europe (input 100V - 240V) so you might just need to replace the plug half of the laptop charger. It might just be easier to contact the seller and ask them to send the correct plug for you AC Adapter.

P.S if you have any other appliance with a different prongs coming off the plug DO NOT PLUG IT IN!!! laptops chargers are ok because they are built to work in different voltages.

You haven't mentioned about the model number of your Philips TV. Different models have different type of tuning procedures. Any way I hereby send a procedure to set it autotuned. If it Doesn't work, please inform me through Fixya, stating your TVs model number also. ok

Press "Menu" on the remote control handset, and select the installation language.
Select a language and confirm it by pressing "OK" button on the remote control.
Press ' button to return to 'Instalation' menu.
Press "Menu" on the remote control handset and select Installtion > Preferences > Location.
Select 'Home" and press "ok" to confirm.
Press ' to come to the Installation menu.

TO TUNE CHANNELS AUTOMATICLY AND TO STORE

Press "Menu" on the remote control, "Select Installation" '>' Channels '>' Autoprogram '>' Start now.
Press "OK" and allow the start installation automatically.

If you run autoprogram when you have locked channels, a messege appears asking to enter your PIN code in order to complete instllation.
Try this, if doesn't work inform me with TVs model number. OK.
