After clearing a paper jam from my C5180 all in one, my prints now come out slightly skewed clockwise, and the upper corners of my prints are bent and distressed. Obviously I still have some type of problem with the paper feed, but when I can't see any blockages when I open the back of the printer and look in. How do I troubleshoot?

Cannot clear CARRIAGE JAM on my c5180

There are a number of things that can cause a carriage jam. To prevent it from recurring, one should keep in mind a number of things. Always ensure that the paper tray is not overloaded as this might result in the paper being stuck inside. Also the paper being used should be as per the manufacturer's recommendations. Turn off the printer when removing bits of paper. If there is a broken gear, do not repair it yourself. Call an expert technician to mend it.

Get E3 error but can not see any reason for the error. Have reset will clear the error but still no printing. The problem started while printing a page. The error was that the paper was jammed and would...

There's a hidden sensor lever under the white guides behind the platen roller. Either a scrap of paper is holding it up, or it could be bent from pulling out a jam. It is a black lever behind the platen roller slightly to the right of center. You may need a shop to repair.

Paper feed jamms the paper all the time, will not feed without jamming from bottom tray, top tray jams every 2 to 3 prints or print with the top corner bent

Unless both feeder rollers went bad at the same time, which is unlikely, it must have something to do with the paper. It might be slightly damp, or not the correct kind. Try using high quality matte white paper from a brand new pack and see whether it still jams.

Paper jam and still won't print

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Before you can clear the error message, you must locate where in the unit the paper is jammed.

Unplug the machine for safety. Now follow these instructions based on where the paper jam is located.

1. Pull the paper tray out of the machine.
2. Pull out the jammed paper.
3. Reset the machine by opening the Upper Jam Clear Cover and then closing it.

If you cannot remove the jammed paper from the front of the machine, or the error message still appears on the LCD after you have removed the jammed paper, please go to the next step.

4. Remove the Lower Jam Clear Cover from the back of the machine. Pull the jammed paper out of the machine.

5. Put the Lower Jam Clear Cover back on. Make sure the cover is set properly.

6. Open the Upper Jam Clear Cover. Make sure that there is no jammed paper left in the corners of the machine.
Note: If the paper is jammed under the print head, unplug the machine from the power source, then move the print head to take out the paper. 7. Close the Upper Jam Clear Cover.

8. Close the output paper tray cover and slide it forward, then push the paper tray firmly back into the machine. While holding the paper tray in place, pull out the paper support until it clicks and unfold the paper support flap.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Left corner of paper wrinkles when printing

I know several reasons, and they are all related to an obstruction of some sort..whether it be a small piece of paper along the paper path, to something slightly bent, or broken...impossible to say for sure

Paper won't load. and Stops printing before it can start.

Try turning the paper around. Some times the corners of the paper get slightly bent and the paper wont load.If turning the paper around does not work, switch your paper. Hope this helps.

Xc 830 problems

why not take the developer and drum units out of the skew copy one and put them in the other? At least that will tell you if dev/drum/toner is the problem.......
Skew copies on the other...look for torn corners of paper tight in the end of feed chutes etc, sometimes clearing a jam will leave a bit in there enough to slow down that side of the feed.If you can see any rollers make sure they are closed and parallel to each other and clean...
