N~ 1.SCR looks like a truncaked screen saver name (when a name is longer then 8 characters, it comes up with the ~) the .scr is a screen saver extension.

Just as something to try, disable any and all screen savers you have running and see it the error stops.

Please inform after trying this.

Your C drive has become cluttered. Try Check Disk from ACCESSORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS and the chose de-fragment from the same(system tools0. If this does not help, go to start menu and remove all non-essential programs which are not needed all the time, like,Acrobat, MS Office, Any other media player except Windows Media Player and your Anti-Virus software. The rest of the programs will only start when you uchoose to use that particular software. For hint Open Task Manager and under PROCESS tab check how many applications are on . The ones which says----SYSTEM, ignore, but all *.exe which has your user name on the next column are installed by you but not all of them need to be open all the time. select and click end process. If warning comes that this is a windows sytem application and even on clicking ok it refuses to terminate or indactes a lomg list of programs will not work properly, avoid, but the rest u can safely delete from the Start-up menu. All the best & if u stil have any probs, please clarify your Operating System including version and I'll send u links for some useful windows tweak Softwares and theur corresponding download links....sodeep
PS If u are a bit savy & have been using PC's for long, try a good registry editer plus cleaber Like ADVANCED SYSTEM OPTIMIZER ver 2.1(only if u are not using VISTA)

Turn off the, or better yet uninstall, the Acer Screensaver. Something you installed, possibly a screensaver program? has corrupted the Acer screensaver causing that error message. That add-on screensaver is notoriously buggy anyway.

It sounds as if your hard drive is cluttered. Defrag it and then get a free program called CCleaner. Run that to clean your registry. That should solve your problem.

Need SATA HDD password for acer aspire 5100

When everything gets done loading the screen says:

Unknown Disc
<There is no disk in this drive.>

it gives that error message 4 times on the "select partition" list

Reguardless of what i click (besides Quit) being Install or Delete, I get the Blue Screen of Death

"PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
Technical Information
STOP: 0x00000050
setupdd.sys Address F77F8245 base ar F77CA000

I did some research and I came up with possible RAM faultyness, so, I switched the RAM chips from my Acer to the AW (which obviously work, or else i wouldnt be typing this) and i get the identical blue screen error

What bugs me about that specific error is before it even says "Click button to boot from CD" it says RAM cleared... video shadowed etc. etc.

From beginning to end this is what i did:
1. Swapped out new HD
2. Used Utility disc to set-up HD
3. Attempted to install XP
4. swapped RAM chips
5. Attempted again

im at a complete stump to what to do to fix this... any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Acerw-1.scr

Acer w-1.scr è uno screen saver. Problema è che il risparmiatore dello schermo ha smesso di funzionare. Questo è un problema comune con Acer computer. Cerca questo file ed eliminarlo!

The internal audio on my Acer travelmate 2300 has stopped working ever since i plugged some compter speakers into it.. afterwards i got rid of the speakers and tried to get the original audio working,...

What error message do you get when you try to change the audio options? I assume you are getting an error message because You're noting that the computer won't allow you to change the options.
1) reboot, which I'm sure you have done.
2) answer my question and write back.
