Compressor only stays on for 2-3 minutes than shuts off

if the sensors are okay, it might be the compressor overheating, my portable ac (moretti elite ac) is also behaving the same, especially when i turn the fan to max. the compressor shuts down about 7 mins and turns on again in about 5 mins, now i found out when i turn to medium or low the compressor runs normally. i think when on medium or low setting some of the cool air directs/channels to the compressor thus cooling it more.

We did not receive a manual with our dimplex portable air conditioner, is there one we can view online. Thankyou

Unfortunatley, you didn't mention which model you have. But if you click on the link below, you can locate your model and once you click on it, you will see a link to the Owner's Manual. You can download and print it for future reference.

My Dimplex DAC15HC has stopped working it turns on as usual just no air flow, what do I do?

Make sure the filter is clean and if it is it sounds like the fan motor stopped working.

Air conditioner compressor runs for about 1-2 min, then cuts off

well when u have outages the voltage drops obviously, the one that suffers are the capacitors the capacitor for the compressor might need to change, change it with the same capacity as the old one example if labels say 55 microfarady ( mf ) ( 55 mf ) get one of the same I am not saying it is a 55 mf capacitor vary depending on motor and brand. So check the label
