My Nikon Coolpix S220 camera getting problem. Upon the power switch press to ON the power-on lamp (green lamp)blink for few minutes but the LCD monitor never turn ON. After the green lamp OFF then the flash lamp indication can be seen in low light (red). I have turn off and taken out the battery for few times but the above condition remain un-changed, monitor never turn ON again and the green lamp blinked after power ON switch press for 1 - 2 minutes.

I cant detect my pics in my laptop from the sd cars. But I can see in my camera when I insert the same sd card. Is there any problem with sd card or any virus effected? How to upgrade the sd card. please help me out.

How do I take pictures in black and white with my nikon coolpix s220?

Press the Auto button (camera icon). Press the MENU button to bring up the shooting menu. Select "Color Options" then select "Black-and-White".

Unless you're just snapshooting, I recommend shooting in color and then converting to black-and-white using photo-editing software on a computer. You get much better control over contrast, brightness, etc. than what the camera gives you.
