Question about Sanyo DP32746 32 in. LCD Television
I see multiple people having the same problem I'm having with my Sanyo. No picute (a slight flash when you turn it on) but the sound is good. Has anyone been able to fix it?
Owners of this set should file complaints with <www.bbb.org> for Sanyo (located at 21605 Plummer Street Chatsworth, CA 91313-2329, as there are several). They are failing at 1-2 years, and are toast when that happens. DP32746 fails before a tenth of the
useful service life has expired. Research indicates this model is prone to
inverter failure at about one year of operation on average and that the failure
is systemic in nature and is experienced by a large number of owners of the
product. When the product fails it is rendered completely useless and repairs
are prohibitively expensive.

I made a complaint to the BBB and through them and Sanyo the repair was arranged with me paying for labour. All in all it cost me 152.00 CAD.

Most of the problems with these lies in the Inverter or signal main PWB's. I am an authorized tech for Sanyo, and in the Chattanooga TN area. Contact Sanyo at 1-800-877-5036. At the prompt hit the 0 key, and then ask for customer service. They will be more then happy to assist.

Sanyo should be compensating everyone who bought a TV of this model within the past 2 yrs, seems that is the timeframe from which the problem lies. If you still have your sales reciept, return it to the place of purchase, and there should be no qualms, if Sanyo wants to continue with good public relations, they will either replace or repair!!

I have not been able to find the 3mm x 711mm backlight(ccfl's) anywhere on the net. That is the size of the ccfl's in the backlight assembly. There are 16 individual bulbs and I suppose if one goes out they all will not come on. IMO, I will never buy a Sanyo again. The tv was less than two years old with minimal hours on it.
