You install disk is corrupt (probably from a scratch on the disk), you can download a new copy to burn, making sure it passes the MD5 checksum after download is complete (and use your key during installation).
Could be disk
error (just make sure if on windows you have the drivers for your CD
drive: start>right click computer>click device manager), try a different brand of blank disks. Use CD-R or
CD+R disks, check your CDROM to see which is compatible..
go to my computer and look at your cd drive without a cd in and see what it says.if it says cd-rw or dvd-ram or dvd-rom/cd rw then you can burn cds.if not then no you can't.if you do and i tunes won't let you try a different program like windows media player or nero.if a error comes up while burning then you cd burner might be bad
check the cd you are using for scratches, looks like a readom the cd error to me. to solve: copy cd using freeware program: imageburn, make an image of disk, burn it onto cd-r(your save-copy, legal) try installing from copied version could work
else: copy whole installation cd into sepearate folder and run installation from harddisk.
Itunes does have digital rights management, which restricts the number of times you can burn the tracks you've downloaded. It's one reason I prefer sites like mp3fiesta.com who don't believe that if you've paid for the track you should be restricted in using it.
To burn music from Itunes you first have to make a playlist of the tracks you want to burn. Select New Playlist on the left, and drag the tracks you want to burn into this new playlist. When you've done that, right click the playlist name and select "burn playlist to disk."
This will ONLY work a finite number of times (I believe currently it's either 3 or 5) after which burning will be disabled for a track, and if that track appears on a playlist you won't be able to burn that playlist either.
