Hey.. i have that same problem but rang provider and reset factory settings.. not working.. what does this mean now..

Cantact your network provider and ask for a sim update and a gprs install message this will help,also
check the message centre number is in the phone correctly, goto message settings and message centre number,
insert the correct one from below save it and then you should be able to send messages
