Cant send messages

ask your service provider about sms service center no. & in sms setting type it in service center no. & off your phone & On it you have done it

Check ur sms settings..look for the option called 'Message center number' if this centre number is accidently changed or replaced.. thn mobile cant send any msgs to ur service provider server..
Try this:
switch off ur phone.. take ur battery and sim card out from the mobile.. reinstall ur sim card and battery and swicht it on again..

thn try messaging.. if problem persist thn talk to your customer care fo your service provider to give u that unique message centre no. through which mobile send msgs.. :-)

Use another sim and try sending messages. If it works, its a sim card problem.
If it still doesnt work, do a factory reset.

First backup your data, remove your memory card and type *#7370#.

Now it should work.

4. Some times Network/Message Server MAY DOWN[Contact your Provider]

• Messages
• Message Settings
• Sending Profile
• Message centre Number
• Enter Proper Number[Proper Number will Get by Contacting Customer Care Center/From Your Network Provider-It means this number Different in Different Providers]

I am unable to see new messages on my nokia 5230 until i go into the message center manually. How can i correct the settings so i will have an indicator to inform of new message

if u have reset your cell and now u r unable to send messages then u 've to set Message service center number

• Just go in your message settings and in message service center number, again give correct message center no of the service which u r using. if u don't know u can ask by call your network help center which u r using.

For using web.

• You have to again save your settings of web because your previous settings 'll be deleted in formatting , so just demand your settings of web from your network provider. They 'll send you the settings, save them and Enjoy web

You will need to receive two text messages from you Network provider and open them this will set your phone up for MMS and the Web.

Contact your provider to send you these messages or sometimes if you do a factory reset these will be sent automatically. If you do this you will loose all MP3 and settings on your phone unless they are stored on a micro-SD card, if not copy them all and take it out

Try to to soft-reset your unit. (6 steps)
1. BUT Make sure you backup your phone memory to your memory card. Soft-reset deletes all data saved in your phone memory, including factory settings and pre-stored music, videos, etc.
2. Dial *#7370#. This would take at least 2 minutes.
3. Try sending messages to your own number.
4. If sending messages is working, you may now restore your backup of phone memory.
5. After restoring phone memory backup, try to send messages again.
6. If sending messages is not working again, chances are, your original phone memory is full and you should delete messages and contacts. You have to repeat soft-reset (steps 1-3). But your previous data should be accessed directly from your memory card so as not to directly save to your phone memory.
******ciao*****this works for me. took me an hour to figure out how this works coz I really like my 5320. gotta find a way to tweak and fix this anyhow =)

I cant send Fax. I also receive a message ''waiting for report''and"memory receive mode". Please Help
