Philips Home theatre system HTS3000

Hi
I have a problem with my Philips Home theatre system HTS3000.
Whenever I put any CD or DVD the system shows "No Disc"
Once in a while it starts playing the CD which ever it is.

I first thought its a CD problem. I started trying with my other DVD -Pioneer.
All CDs are perfect in quality.
Please help me out in solving the problem.
Thank you

Try to clean the lens of your player with the cd lens cleaner available in the computer store or appliance store.

I have a philips hts6510 home theatre system and when i put a dvd in to play it says no disc

hi,
Normally a dvd player shows the message NO DISC when,
1. The disc inserted is bad.
2 The lase pickup unit inside the dvd lost its reading intensity, dirty lens or the spindle motor damaged .

In your case the second one happened. the intensity of the laser pickup unit has lost or the spindle motor faulty or there is some dust on its lens. just insert a cleaning cd in it for two or three times. then check again is the DVD is reading or not

if the problem remains then you have to check the motor and the laser pickup unit. the lase pickup unit have two laser emitter and receiver in its inside . one for reading and playing DVDs and the other for CD and MP3. also the spindle motor runs in different speed when u insert dvd and cd.

Open the cover of your dvd player and power it on insert an audio cd and watch is it reading or not also notice the speed of the spindling of the cd. if the audio cd reads and play. then the possible problem is the spindle motor

To conform it remove the audio cd and insert a dvd. watch the rotation of the dvd. if it feel very hard to rotate it then, the spindle motor is damaged. if so replace the spindle motor if it runs more the the speed of than audio cd then the laser pickup unit is faulty. Then u have to replace the laser pickup unit.

My philips dvd home theatre system shows bad disc all inserted into it after some time even original newones.

It sounds to me like the laser is broken, the little red laser that reads the cd. It might have gotten scratched by a cd being put in or taken out the wrong way. But new ones should not do that. I might be wrong, I am not an expert at home theater systems but thats sounds like the problem from what you explained.

The problem with the system Philips FWD17 shows NO DISC for certain CDs which wont play. With regard to DVDs it doesnt recognise them at all. The disc spins and then stops showing NO DISC

I have replaced the lens with the same type and model SF-HD65. It still doesnt detect DVDs

Please advise.

Disk stuck in my Blue Ray

Hi!
I had the same problem, and I solved it by shutting down the unit and then disconnected the power supply for some sec. When re-connecting the power supply and pushing the start button the DVD was ejected when pushed the eject button.
