I hear a loud banging noise as if something is loose

Clicking noises are normal...banging noises are not. Replace the thermostat.

I had a noise like that once in a full size van it turned out to be the ball joints onthe passenger side might want to get them checked it could have been fatal for us

Check the engine crankcase bolts have not come loose, i have seen this on some Briggs engines.

The rattle is likely a loose shield or a bad catalytic converter. As for the loud banging, Have you checked the front U-joints behind the brake rotors. As for the Reverse noise? Auto or stick shift?

Drum bearings may have given up.

A noise like that in brakes are not something to guess at, or play around with. Call the place that did the brake job, and explain to them what happened. My guess is that they will come to you, or advise you to very carefully bring it to them for a look. Might have been a stone wedged or something but don't take the chance, have it looked at, a.s.a.p. and don't drive it if you don't have to until then.

if its a loud banging noise when the unit kicks off then broken spring in compressor will have to replace compressor check your 2-5th year warrenty in your owners manuel

some popping noise is normal but if it is banging when it stops it needs a new compressor.what has happened is one or more motor mount is broken or weak it could run like this for months or years but it is annoying! if its warranty they have to replace it.
