Generic problem for all Irons

I have a problem with my iron, when i press the steam button the iron clicks continuously but doesn't produce a lot of steam Help!!

my irons a pifco travel iron model no 4838. I don't have any instructions. When I press the steam button it clicks but no steam comes out and you can't hear the hissing of steam either. Help
