F1 - E1 means: EEPROM Checksum error. The EEPROM is a memory chip located in the ERC (control module). The problem is communication error with the EEPROM


1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.
2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.
3. If code re-appears, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Note: Applies to all F1-Ex codes except F1-E3.

Hello there:
any time you recieve the f-1 and sometimes a f-o error with the beeping this is from the electronic range controle board or erc for short and this means that that part has fgailed and needs to be replaced if you go to repair clinic.com you can look up you oven model number and get parts from there or if you have a appliance repair center in your home town give them a call and tell them the ovens model number and tell them you need a erc or electronic range controle board ok?

looks as if th ef1 only pertains to the erc(electric range control), the switch membrane qould be an f7 (shorted key pad, the oven sensor os diff code all together
