Technika FM In-Car Transmitter loud low frequency hum

I am using this Technika FM In-Car Transmitter for the first time; it is easy to use and works except that the music is accompanied by a low frequency hum. It is continuous whether the music is playing or not whether the mp3 is connected or not and even when the car engine is not turned on. I have moved it to different positions in the car and it makes little difference and situation makes no difference. What can I do to stop this noise?

Thanks for your help but, you say grounding; the mp3 and transmitter are small, battery-powered devices not having any grounding available. Or do you mean the car radio is not grounded properly?

    Thanks for your persistence.

This humming noise is the cause of a bad ground. try a new grounding location. The shorter the ground wire the better. Make sure the connection is metal to metal. I have had the same problem out of competition systems. Good Luck

How do i use scosche fm transmitter

You plug your mp3 player into it and then it broadcasts the audio to any FM radio that you are near. so it is a wireless connection like bluetooth for sending your music to a car radio without wires.

Scosche fm transmitter FMTD8 not playing mp3 files on Flash drive

I bought the fmtd8 scosche transmitter. If you're like me ,you tried to play music from you're cell phone first. That worked just fine. Then I made an sd card with a few hundred songs on it. P.S. I left the audio cable plugged in the the transmitter. The sd card with mp3. songs would not play for anything. After 2 days of trying,I finally decided to unplug the audio cable.. Voila!!!!! Instant sound.

What is a digital pll fm modulator

Hello towturtle,

An FM modulator is a little box that plugs into your receiver antenna connection. It sends a low-level signal directly to the radio which you then tune in on the FM band just like a radio station. They're handy for older receivers that do not have AUX, USB, or iPod inputs. You plug your device into the modulator and it plays through the receiver. The "PLL" just means that the tuning uses a technology called "phased lock loop" which keeps the frequency from drifting.

Hope this helps.

Radio in my ford fiesta Reg 51, 2001 has stopped working.

it seem like a problem with the internal tuner. Somehow it detects diffrent frequency now, i am not familiar with frequency used in aircrafts, but I would gues they use higher frequency that FM bandwith. Capacitor lessen in value when they fail, so that would cause the local oscillator in your radio to detect higher frequency. As far as fixing them you would have to be an expert in radio comunication electronics. I for one a novice when it comes to how demodulation processes work and all that. Best solution is to put another radio, or you can take it to a CB shop. They maybe able to fix that. CB shops are usually around truck stops, because they service the CB radios that truckers use.

Cd player in my 1996 pontiac sunfire dont work but the radio does

My husband's 96 sunfire did the same thing as well. We tried everything to fix it, right down to opening it up and checking it. They just burn out over time. Unfortunately there's not much you can do, and to have it replaced by the dealer will cost more than your car is probably worth, being almost 14 years old. Do yourself a favor, go to your local walmart, you can pick up a decent CD player (with an mp3 player input, so no FM transmitter!) for about 50 bucks, and they are easy to install. It's the only thing that worked for us. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance!

How to set FM Frequency on XM Radio Delpi SkyFi

is this a skyfi 1 2 or 3. if its a two or three if you go to the menu button and scroll down to fm frequencys and select that from the drop down menu. then scroll through the built in frequencies and determine which one comes in the clearest. if its a skyfi one then your gonna have to put in a wired fm modulator because the first one doesnt come with a wireless fm transmitter.
