Desolder the switch from the board and clean it, brush it by using an old toothbrush with denatured alcohol and resoldered it again ,If still not working ,change it with a new one .Still not working then the problem is in the power supply section ,maybe blown fuse,or defected regulator transistor,or dry up capacitor.,try check this it will work again..

hope this may help;

Don't forget to rate; thank you..

Theres no power in my turntable. upon opening it, the fuse looks good, and everything seems at first glace to be connected. but it does not turn on when plugged in.

check the power cable first . then check the on off switch. also check the transformer. do one more thing remove the fuse from the holder and then refix it. may be chance for contact problem.

Fried power on technics SL 1200MK2.

If you are lucky then just the fuse may have failed - usually F1 / 250mA / 20mm type.

If your unlucky the transformer may have fried - mail me for a price

Power failure

Usually just random failure of the 250mA fuse (F1) which is on the power input circuit board under the platter.
