SOURCE: Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED):

Do you normally use a Proxy??? If not, then yes, it's most likely a virus that sets proxy settings, directing all your network traffic through the hacker's proxy. There, they capture all your internet traffic including login IDs and passwords.
If you have no idea how long this has been going on, then they have all your information already. Hacker proxies get shut down fairly quickly, hence the error you are seeing now. However, the damage may be done already.
Do a full virus scan, then go to all your online sites and change all the passwords - soon!

next click the button that says change proxy settings
in the next box that pops up, click on "never dial a connection"
next click on the LAN button
next ensure that all check boxes are clear, with no checkmarks in them
click ok
then click ok again

that should bring you back to the google chrome options box

close out chrome
wiat about 10 to 15 seconds to allow for chrome to recognize the new settings

How can i solve error 130 at webfreer?

It seems your system is configured to use a proxy when on the internet or intranet. Go and remove the proxy when you want to connect to the net from home internet setup:
Change proxy settings > LAN Settings and uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN. Close all the browser sessions and open a new one.

Pc control module

[code]Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed.

Let's try resetting your TCP/IP stack and flushing your DNS. You can do this by:
  • Click Start
  • Click All Programs
  • Click Accessories
  • Click Command Prompt
  • Enter these commands individually:
    IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
    NBTSTAT -R
    NBTSTAT -RR
    NETSH INT IP RESET
    NETSH WINSOCK RESET
  • Restart your computer

Also check to see if the proxy setting has enabled itself again (the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" check box that Amrita M had you disable above. If it has automatically checked itself again you may be looking at a malware infection.

hope this helps

Proxy setting 130

Exactly error: "Unable to connect to the proxy server
A proxy server is a server that acts as an intermediary between your computer and other servers. Right now, your system is configured to use a proxy, but Google Chrome can't connect to it.
Here are some suggestions:
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or check with your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.
If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, try the following steps: Go to Wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed."

The Proxy server is refusing connection,. Unable to connect to the Proxy server. Error 130 (net : Error_Proxy_Connection_Failed)

Google Chrome may not be using a proxy from your ISP odds are that it is not so you will have to go into the tools and options and then select connections section and disable the connection for proxy server usage just un check it not to use any proxy servers that is what is going on. I hope that this assisted you. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Iam getting Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed. i tried all the options under LAN setting still i am getting this error.
