Question about Washing Machines
I have a 7 year old Simpson (Esprit750) washing machine. For the past few months it wouldn't agitate. I could overcome the problem by turning the setting dial 360 degrees 1 or two or ten times and it would eventually continue with the cycle. Today it won't agitate or spin. Everything else seems to be in order (the pump is pumping and the machine sounds like it is trying to agitate and spin) spray rinse still works etc. I think I could fix this problem myself with the right parts and advice. Any suggestions?
That sounds like a mechanical problem. either a worn bearing, belt, motor couplin, or bad gearbox.
This is going to be a very involved job.
