Well u cant really clean a door-seal once it has become badly stained this is caused by closing the door after the washer has finished it needs to be left open to let the seal dry other wise the moisture cant evaporate which it needs to not stain if u email what make of washer this is i can try and help u with a step by step instructions on the best way to change it it will only cost u at the most £15 to buy but if u pay someone to fit it it will cost u about £80 to have done

Dirty door seal

You can first try cleaning out the drum of your machine. Run it without anything in it, using 1/2 gallon of Vinegar instead of soap. Hot water will work best. Most hardware stores, or bestbuy, sears, etc. Have packets of cleaning agents you can use instead of the vinegar. You can also use brake fluid for cars on a rag and wipe down the door seal to clean it, then run it through a whites cycle to remove any leftover residue.
Hope this helps!

Tip

Allways clean your filter on your washer

by cleaning your pump filter at leased once a month will make your washer perform better and last longer. it will stop problems accuring such as (door will not open ) (the machine will not spin on final spin ) (wet cloths) (un even loads) (dirty cloths) (smell & mould ) another good tip is dry off the rubber door seal after use and sprinkle a little talk powder on it this will stop it staining with mould.

I have a Frigidaire front loading washer that is beginning to smell and I thought I should check the "outlet filter." Well it doesn't appear I have one or hopefully I just can't find it.

It could be where the drain pipe is going into the drain.
A lot of machines drain into the water system are not sealed. (ie pipe just fits in and there is an air gap).
You can get fittings that seal the gap so you dont get smells.

My Bosch Maxx 2000 WFO 2060 is leaking from the bottom. Could it be that a filter somewhere needs to be cleaned? If so where is the filter located?

The filter is usually located at the bottom right front of washer, sometimes behind a removeable cover, or a drop down flap.If you can locate it, then unscrew it anti-clockwise to remove and clean it.
There is also a possibility that there could be a hole or tear in the door seal so check the seal as well.
Hope this is of some help to you .

Cleaning a front load washer for mold and mmildew

What's the question?

Use a mild bleach
heres the solution from washing machine manuals, dont know why fuses and powerre included in this...
odor in washer
• Water supply taps are not
open fully.
• Water line hoses are kinked,
pinched, or bent.
• Water inlet filters are clogged.
• Water pressure to tap or
house is too low.
• Power cord is not properly
plugged in.
• House fuse is blown, circuit
breaker has tripped, or power
outage has occurred.
• The door is not closed
properly.
• Incorrect or too much
detergent has been used.
• Inside of tub not cleaned
properly.
• Make sure that the water taps are open fully.
• Make sure the hoses are not kinked or pinched. Be
careful when moving the washer.
• Clean the inlet filters. See the Care and Cleaning
section.
• Check another faucet in the house to make sure that
household water pressure is adequate.
• Make sure that the plug is plugged securely into a
grounded, 3-prong, 120-VAC, 60-Hz. outlet.
• Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse. Do not increase
fuse capacity. If the problem is a circuit overload,
have it corrected by a qualified electrician.
• Make sure that the door is closed properly and press
the START/PAUSE button. After starting a cycle, it
may take a few moments before the drum begins to
turn or spin. The washer will not spin unless the door
is locked (DOOR LOCK will appear in the display).
• If the door is closed and locked and the open door
error message is displayed, call for service.
• Use only HE (High-Efficiency) detergent in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
• Run the TUB CLEAN cycle regularly. Be sure to wipe around and
under the door seal frequently.
• Clean around door seal/glass to prevent odor or mildew:
1. wipe dry the door seal/glass and the door opening area
2. wipe around the inner drum/door seal and the lower door seal

Need to install a new inner seal on the oven door.

the rope type seal merely is friction pressed against the inner glass and the inner panel, no real fasteners other then that, the fact that you got stains inbetweeen glass not neccessarliy a sign ofbad seal, it happpens, in order to replace the gasket, youll need to completly dis-assemble th oven door , as you do you can clean the glass panes as you go

Oil cooler seal

There are two items that can be leaking oil there. There is a gasket between the oiler cooler flange (the item attached to the engine), and the rubber gasket/seal that goes between the cooler and the flange. (the latter is the one that leaks most often as most oil change shops over tighten the oil filter).
I just replaced the gasket between the cooler and flange recently. I chose to do it quick and dirty: 1. remove oil filter 2. remove oil filter nipple (the portion you screw the filter onto) 2a. you'll need a deep well socket to get the bolt that holds the cooler tight (I believe 27mm)
2b. pull down the cooler, Grab the nipple with a pair of pliers between the flange and cooler and loosen/remove
3. remove old gasket/seal and clean surface 4. put new seal/gasket in place 5. re-seat the nipple back in. use the pliers method, just make sure you don't scar the threads where you NEED them( you don't need all of them). 6. put some gasket sealer (oil friendly) on the gasket and make sure its in place 7. tighten oil cooler onto flange with large nut and socket 8. replace oil filter and add oil as needed.
it is a tight working area, expect some scrapped knuckles, but it isn't too difficult.
good luck
