It sounds like the drainage may be blocked to prove this ;
1. Switch of the Washer
2. check youve switched off.
3. have a bucket handy.
4. Pull unit forward so you can access the pipes behind.
5. Locate the grey waste corrigated pipe connected to the waste plumbing. (Not the thin water pipe)
6. Remove corrigated (thicker) pipe and hold over the bucket.
5. switch unit back on. (Holding pipe over bucket)
6. Set the unit to final spin and start - this should empty the machine completely.
If the machine empties then your plumbing may need attention because the washer cannot push its waste water out through it.
You should get a full bucket load maybe more - so be ready to empty the bucket down the sink and reposition it.
If not then the drain pump motor may be faulty. This costs £19.99 + delviery from hotpoint - see :
http://www.4hotpoint.co.uk/cgi-bin/search.pl?parts_search=s&model=wd63&part=pump. You will have to fit this yourself - or get a friend/engineer. I have never fitted one but anyone handy and safe with tools should be able to fit. I would guess no more than one hour to do.
However:
If you have warranty (machine is less than 1 year old) or paid for extended cover then call hotpoint to see if they can be booked in urgently...This should be free.
If you don't have warranty (your machine is older than 1 year) then its still worth calling Hotpoint - you will be charged £90 callout but parts are free for machines less than 5 years old + its warranted for 30days. This is what I recommend - especially if you have kids at home over easter!!! (then get the Extended Cover afterwards)
