My curser keeps placing itself all over the screen when typing

Try these steps may be your problem due to the high sensitivity of the mouse
-Go to the Control Panel (large icon view) > Mouse > Device Settings > Settings
-Under the Synaptic Settings, go to Pointing > Sensitivity > Palmcheck and set the palm sensitivity near the maximum settings and test.
If it didn't helps you then simply get the system utility program like PC Fresher that will fix windows errors that cause of this annoying issue

Curser keeps jumping from where I'm typing to the start of my sentence

Under control panel double click the mouse and under pointer options turn off the snap to setting and restart this should correct your problem, If not the mouse could be failing. I hope this helps.

When i left click on my curser it wont open anything

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

click on >> control panel all control panel items mouse you should see

(4 tabs buttons pointers pointer options)

and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have the options update driver rollback driver or uninstall in xp

in windows 7 click start control panel hardware and sound mouse you will see the same tabs and options as with xp

hope this helps

My mouse pad on my lap top has stopped working and i cant figure out why. any ideas or suggestions to try?

You may have turned off the touchpad by mistake. look at your F keys for a sign that looks like a finger on a square. Often F7.

e.g. on an Acer Travelmate you would hold the Fn. key and tap the F7 key to turn on and off the Touchpad.

I cant find synaptic pointing device icon on right side low

Try opening the Mouse control panel (Start > Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware > Mouse), then click on the Device Settings tab. There should be an option to show the icon on the Taskbar.

Hi, I have an Acer laptop with Vista OS. Like many others, I have a prolem with the curser, jumping all over the screen, causing a lot of typing mistakes/ problems. Is there aby fix for that?

I think what is happening is the heal of your palm is touching the touchpad. Try going in to the Control panel and lowering the sensitivity.

I cant get my mouse pad to work after turning it off in control panel. Im on windows vista and on a lap top. Curser wont work so cant go back in to turn it on again.

Hold the Alt key and press F4. Press Enter to shut down the computer.

Once it's shut down, press the POWER button on the computer's system box to turn the computer on again and reset it back to normal.

Hope this works.
