Sure - go ahead and download the latest version of DirectX from Microsoft.

You probably need to install a newer version of DirectX software from Microsoft.
You appear to have DirectX version 8 installed at the moment, which is an old version.Download this web installer file, then run the file (double-click) and DirectX will download & install automatically.

Click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there if you are have trouble with your webcam Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or update driver xp Click start right click on computer select properties device manager scroll to image devices expand right click to update driver in W7 http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: webcam name webcam driver you might have to try a few times to get it right software if you dont have the driver you will need to download one here rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html Windows XP/Vista/7/8 It might take some time being a freeware driver solution note: it will find all of your outdated drivers this is a free driver solutions This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date. But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10). http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Which-version-of-DirectX-is-on-your-computer Hope this helps.

I recently purchased Nero 8 from PC World they told me it was the latest version. I have since found out that Nero 9 is the latest version. If I buy Nero 9 does it still have Nero Express where I can add...

The Blue Ray plug in run also on Nero 8, only on nero 8 you have to buy it separatedly.

If you want to test Nero 9, and find out the (few, once you get plugins) differences you can do it following the instructions in this link :Download Nero here.

Nero burn error

This is a corrupt install, Please follow the directions below, also, before you install nero 8 again, Please Turn Off any Antivirus Software, it may stop certian Drivers from Fullly installing.

Please use the Nero Clean Tools, Remove all of Nero 8, and also nero 7, if installed and any Roxio burning applications.

Install the Newest Nero 8 Update, and Put in your serial Number in the DEMO box, it will convert it to the full version.

You have a conflict, also ,
Update your Video Drivers and Direct X Drivers, They are needed to use Nero 8, You will get errors if the are not the current version's, and Nero will Run much smoother.

Let me know if you need any further help

good luck

You can got to start>run> type in the box "dxdiag". This runs the directx diagnostic tool. Towards the bottom of this window it will display a version number the latest being 9.0C. If your version is not current you can update directx thru windows updates or you can download it from http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html

If your version is current I would suggest updating your graphics card driver.

hope this helps
