If you mean the engine fan //the air will blow away from the engine instead of on it causing overheating from not cooling to check put paper towels in front of the fan on the other side of the ac, if they get drawn in by the fan towards the motor it's in correctly if it blows the towel out towards the grill it's in wrong///// same with a stationary fan with a clutch only it will be real noisy and the belt will probably start to burn itself when the clutch kicks in
Cold air like, really cold or just cool. Sounds like your hot/cold blend door motor has perhaps failed with the blend door in the semi hot position. Blend door motor failure is very common on the Ford truck HVAC systems. Is is located behind the glovebox on top of the HVAC housing assembly.
The part you need to replace is called a resistor tree. Usually found somewhere near the blower motor under the dash. This is a common problem on older cars.
Your fan motor has either burned out or there is a short in the wiring. Check for voltage at the fan motor plug under the dashboard. If you have power there then the motor is bad, replace the motor and you should be good to go.
could be a motor brush problem. try to tap the motor slightly and see if the motor would run. also try to wiggle the wire and see also if the motor would run. if the motor will run, pull the fan down and replace the brushes of the motor.
