According to the question above you are looking to reinstall Windows XP. You would need to gain a copy of Windows XP from a local electronics store. If you have a repair CD for the Dell 2350 then you would be able to insert this, then restart your computer. Once your PC restarts it will provide you options to restore your PC. Hello i have a Dell Dimension 2350 and boy my system keep restarting and i dont have a recovery or any disk but trying to copy from a website and dont work please help im trying to do f8 f11 and f10 a

You may not have the Dell PD Restore by Symantec utility on your 2350, this is install on Dimension systems shipped after 7.16.04.

An other way to tell, is to check Disk Management and see if there's a small 2.5 to 4gb second partition on the hard drive.

If you do have the small partition try this, it may work,

I reinstalled windows xp on my dell dimension and now i am missing all drivers and cant connect to the internet

You will have to go to the Dell site and at least get the network driver and put on a jump drive but it will have to be an old jump drive because the 2350 may not recognize some of the newer jump drives that have security features (I know that is a pain!) What I do is download the whole lot and burn them on a CD. JC

Dell 2350 Won't boot up without cd

Check the jumper on the back of your drive. Chances are that the jumper is either on "slave" or "cable select". Change the jumper to master, and try rebooting.

Raid failure

Not a lot of details, but here is some basic information, assuming you have a Dell with Integrated RAID

Dimension 9150/9200 and XPS systems have RAID, depending on the model the exact troubleshooting differs. At boot, after the Dell screen, you should get the RAID status listing. RAID 0 will either be normal or failed. Raid 1 can be normal, degraded for failed.

If the RAID array was RAID 0 and one of the drives failed, then all data is lost and you'll have to create a new array then reinstall Windows and drivers

If the RAID array was RAID 1, then you may need to add the new drive to the Array, CNTL+I or CNTL+N at boot (Depending on the system model) add the new drive to the array and reboot. If the system still will not boot to Windows, then you may have a software error too with the OS.

If during troubleshooting, the array was broken in the RAID BIOS, then the array will need to be recreated and Windows/Drivers reinstalled.

Dell Dimension 2350 restore cd or bootable cd.

go to pricegrabber.com to buy a new copy of XP. Save the stuff U want and install the new os. reload U'r saved data. If some of what U wnat to save are programs, U will have to reinstall those. The new XP os will self install from cd on boot up.

Error on windows load

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
This is what the boot.ini file should look like. Use U'r recovery disk to create or edit the ini file as above. U cannot use DOS 6.22 to create this file if U'r system is formated in NTFS.
If U don't have a recovery disk, make one from someone else's XP computer (DOS 7.xx).
