Question about Cameras

Sony DSC-T2 file folder

My daughter has a sony DSC-T2. She renamed the folder of her photos and now she cannot access them on her camera. They are still there and when you plug the camera into the computer, the computer still sees them (in the newly named folder) but the camera will not display them.

I assume renaming the folder to the original name would help, but I don't know what that was and am not sure it would be enough to solve the problem.

What say ye?

How to reset picture counter numbering on Sony dsc H50... Thank You...

If it works anything like a DSC-W230 then copy all files from your camera usb stick to backup medium. then delete all files but one from the memory stick, using a usb card reader capable computer rename the one remaining file from [example] DSC00001.JPG to DSC01241.JPG, any subsequent pictures should increment properly. if you want to just reset to factory state and start from 001 again just hard reset the camera as per the owners manual instructions. Don't bother with Sony tech support on this issue, the either don't know how to do this, or are not allowed to tell you this, they told me I could not reset the numbering after my daughter did a hard reset, but I figured out it was possible to get it back to where I was at

Sony DSC-P200 file name

I don't understand the question. If you want to know if the file name can be imbedded into the photo and will show as part of the photo, the answer is no. If you want to know if the file name is included in the EXIF information that is part of the photo, the answer is no. Some camera manufacturers include the file name in the EXIF, Sony does not.
