I have a HTC HD2. It switches itself off, mostly at night. Even though the battery is mostly charged, still switches off. Only way to get it to restart is to remove the battery, reinsert, then push the power on button. Also, noticed a couple of times phone was 75% charged when going to bed, in the morning completely dead, could not restart until i put some charge back into it.

In response to your suggestion regarding my HTC HD2, we actually have two of these same model phones in my company, and strangely they both started doing the same fault at the same time.

Also, we both have a silicone rubber boot fitted to our phones to protect them. We live at the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia where it is summer time right now, and the weather has recently been buckets of rain (you might have seen on TV news).

Could the silicone boot be causing condensation to build up inside the phone.

    Regards,

    Mike

You should try to have it opened and inspected for mostly water damage. all those indicate to a fault motherboard. some components are shorting and causing the battery drainage.
this will require disassembling phone and be sure, this is a hardware problem not software.

well like i suggested above, it is worth opening them up and having the above issue checked and atleast ruled out first before the next step.

How to get the most out of your cellphone battery. It is always a hassle...

How to get the most out of your cellphone battery.
It is always a hassle when your cellphone battery is flat and you can't charge it right away. So get the most out of your battery. Before you put your phone on charge, switch it off first. that way it does not used any energy when it's on charge. Also you can charge it during the night when you are sleeping. Most cellphones have the ability to let the alarm go off even though the phone is switched off. So your phone is fully charged at the end of the night. And you can enjoy your day without any worries.

I can't turn on bluetooth for htc hd2. it said" Error in loading the Bluetooth stack (oxi)

Hello Tuy,

It seems that you have to update the software of HTC HD2 Smartphone. HTC provides Rom Upgrade in which it completely replaces the built - in software in the phone. Rom upgrade in the HTC HD2 Smartphone extends its features, imroves its performance which makes it easy to use.

Download the Rom Upgrade from the link provided below :

http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=856

Rom upgradation completely erase the personal data and the customized settingsor any installed programs in the
HTC HD2 Smartphone. Before Rom upgradation pleas backup all your data.

Please visit the below links to backup your data before upgradation :

http://www.htc.com/www/howto.aspx?p_id=297&id=191

http://www.htc.com/www/howto.aspx?p_id=297&id=187

During ROM upgrade, make sure that your phone battery is at least 50% charged. Automatic standby and hibernation are disabled in computer, and close all running programs. Do not disconnect your
HTC HD2 Smartphone from your computer while the phone software is being updated. If you disconnect the HTC HD2 Smartphonee during the software update, it may become unusable.

File transfer

I got the same thing - my computer would charge the device, but not recognize it to allow file transfer. it was the same for all USB ports. I tried using the USB cable from my old Samsung YP-T9, and it actually worked immediately. So it is not the device itself, but the USB cable, for some reason. I don't know how to solve the problem with the HTC HD2 cable, though.
