Thumping drum noise

You are reminded, this is a SELF HELP web site. You are supposed to encourage people with you knowledge of how to repair appliances. Not to discourage them and tell them to call a repairman. It sounds like one of the wheels that the drum spins on is defective and needs to be replaced!
NO! Let service do the job! They will know what it is and order the correct part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this dryer is 10 years old or more do not spend any money on it!
The new ones are much more efficient! If you have to replace it buy a Speed Queen , it will do 8 loads a week for 25 years!
It's the last washer and dryer I will ever buy!!!! And less expensive than a top of the line unit!
