remove the battery for atleast 20 seconds ........reinsert and try ..... if it does not solve ...... take it to the service centre ..... it would b under warranty .....
Did you try to reset the device? Turn off the Archos, remove the battery. Near the 2.5" hard disk you will see a small golden button. Press it with the tip of a pen during 10 seconds. Put the battery back and turn on the device. Maybe it helps.
Here are a couple of links of were to get a replacement LCD Screen.
It should come apart fairly easy and the lcd ribbon should unplug so then you can place the new one in and plug it in.
