When you first insert it into the laptop's USB port it may automatically install a driver (if required).
You will then see this as an external storage device. you can create folders on this memory stick just like you would on your hard drive. You can copy files and or folders from your hard drive to the memory stick or the memory stick to your hard disk.
Have fun.

Treat it as though it were an external hard drive.
Your computer should recognise it as you plug it in.
They normally come formatted, ready for use.

Iam having issues transfering my sd backup to my phone it says internal memory full?

You will have to delete some stuff off of your phones memory. Games, pics, music ect. I recommend deleting items that you either don't or rarely use. If you would rather not loose any of them get another SD card and transfer all of the things to it so it frees up memory on your phone.

I cant format my microsd because of write sector error

hi
make sure your card reader is not locked. Most card readers have facilities to lock a memory stick. If left in that position, they write protect the memory stick. Meaning you can neither transfer to it nor change and sometimes remove stuffs from the memory stick. Insert the memory stick into another card reader and try formating again or check the memory card itself if the write protect feature is part of its structure. Usually there's a hint of that in form of tiny diagrams and signs of how to lock and unlock the memory stick. hope this helps

Put the memory stick inside the camera. Then open the photos which is save in your camera memory. Select them all & then you find a option Send to memory card or copy to memory card. Select that and press ok. Your photos transfer from camera memory to memory stick.

Cannot get my photos from memory stick to progess beyond the 1st 5 photos. they keep repeating. I never had a manual.

Hi there.

1st) How did you put the photos on your stick? Did you load them from a computer, or did you load them off a camera?

If you loaded them off a camera, did you format the card before you took the pics, or before transferring them from the camera's internal memory? You have to do format the memory card from the camera menu before it will work properly.

If you used a computer, same thing, you need to format the stick before you transfer photo's to it. Try it and let me know.

How to?.....

You should be able to transfer the images directly to your computer without transfering them to you memory stick duo. Have you tried connecting the camera to your computer and retrieving the images? If you would rather have the images on your camera on your memory stick duo, then remove the memory stick duo connect the camera to your computer, copy the images off of the camera, turn the camera off, put the memory stick duo back into the camera, plug the camera back in, then transfer the images that you just transfered from the cybershot to your computer back to the camera. They should copy directly to the memory stick duo.
