Question about Epson AcuLaser C1900 Printer

1 Answer

Epson C1900 "ghost " images

I have a problem with ghost images appearing on printouts
on my Epson C1900 Aculaser.
The top 1/3rd of the page is perfect but ghost images appear in the lower 2/3 of the print.
Eg with the offline status sheet up to :printing menu” is perfect then
The next 1/3rd of a page has ghost images from the first 1/3
Then last 1/3rd has ghost image from the second 1/3.
I do not want to indiscriminately replace units due to expense.
Developer cartridges are showing 5/5 to 3/5 available.
Photoconductor unit 3/5
Transfer unit 3/5

Any assistance would be appreciated

Sounds like the transfer roller or the fuser unit may be faulty. Look at the fuser to see if the roller surfaces are dirty. If so, replace the fuser.

We have an epson aculaser c1900 which is telling us to replace the waste t-box. What does this mean?

Hi, Waste toner container collects all the unused toner from inside the machine after every cycling, unfortunately the container gets filled up and needs6f1b8e0.jpg to be emptied at intervals. The container looks like the image inserted, just open up your printer and locate the container and empty it then reset and all will be well.

EPSON AcuLaser C1900 paper jam when printing black or color

I have just gained a C1900 second-hand and have set it all up and got the drivers and so forth. Am having exactly this problem, right down to the folded pages, wide top margin and 'Check Paper Size' error message. Did you ever find a solution to this? Anyone else know how to fix it?

Ghost image on Epson Acculaser C4000

Ghosting can be caused by several components: 2nd BTR transfer roller, Photoconductor Unit (PCU) or the Fuser unit. The most likely is the PCU contacts being dirty, caused by toner getting between them. Open the front of the printer (cover B) and lift out the photoconductor. Clean all of the metal contacts down the sides of the PCU with a cloth and wipe out any loose toner from inside the printer and give the contacts inside the printer on the R/H side a good clean. Replace the PCU and close the front cover.
Hopefully all will now be well, if not open cover A and clean the transfer roller on the inside of the cover. If problem persists you will need to get a Tech out to look further as without seeing the printer it is pretty hard to diagnose.
Good luck.

Epson Aculaser C1900

The Cleaner Pressure Flapper Solenoid it dead or dying. You can try moving it by hand to see if you can prolong it, but basically it needs a new one. Its a job for an engineer really.

See the image below for it's location.
