It seems has if the HDMI port on my Scenium is going bad. For quite a while, it would occasionally turn people's skin blue. Pulling out the HDMI cable and reinserting it would usually correct the problem. Now, however, I'm simply not getting any picture or sound using the HDMI port (all others are working fine). I've tried connecting my DVD player instead of the Satellite receiver box and the problem remains - so the problem is either the TV's HDMI port or the HDMI cable.

Hi,
Your TV didn't have any HDMI port. Do you mean the DVI port. do you use DVI cable or DVI to HDMI cable.
The only way to check whether the DVI port is working or not is by replacing the cable. purchase a new cable and try again.
ok

Screen has odd green hue occasionally when turning on then flashes.

It may be a bad connection in the display adapter. Try another adapter. Beware, some after-market adapters are not wired correctly.

I have a computer with HDMI output and my Scenium has HDMI input but I get no picture when I play movies on my HP 9700 computer that I would like to have displayed on my RCA Scenium. All connections seem...

(No longer listed on Amazon.) The most likely reason for no display is not matching the scan rates. Your TV is either 1080i (1920x1080x30) HxVxrate or 720p (1280x720x60) high definition. That's its native display but it may accept both but not 1080p. The computer must be set to one of those. The TV will not accommodate, well it may accept 480i or 480p (720x480x30 or 60) for standard definition and that could be 640x480. Go to your computer display controls and see which resolutions are available and it may be different in mirrored versus extended mode. If the signal comes from a TV DVI source and is converted to HDMI, it will not include sound. There may also be a problem with copy protection (HDCP) as your computer may be fussier than the TV. -Ken

HDMI Port quit working

My first guess is to inspect the lead try the easiest solution first then approach the difficult after .
The second course is more painful if the lead is indeed ok then you are probably looking at one of three things constant plugging in and pulling out has caused microfractures on the pcb circuit isolating the HDMI plug ,Or dry joints on pcb , And failiure of input components on circuit . Sorry not to be the bearer of better tidings but this is one of those faults that make an engineer scream ?
WITH JOY £££$$$$££££ as it is going to take ages to find ?... Regards Vortash
Unless it is a common fault and is described in the engineers service notes lol.

Blank screen on HDMI connection

I have good new and bad news The good news first: believe it or not you have solved the problem and the HDMI port on you TV is not working. Now for the bad news: What ever damaged the HDMI port on your TV also damaged the DVR UNIT, and it looks like it could be in the switching section. What that is is the point where viedo is delivered to the various ports by the DVR Unit, I should call it more of a crossover point, since the signal is processed differently by the various output ports. I would suggest that you get the HGMI port in yoyr TV repaired and the DVR repaired at a qualified shop. There are no repairs that you can affect on these devices.
