You cannot restore the player without a computer but by formatting your drive and re-loading the Rio Carbon Firmware, you can reset it to factory settings.
The Developers cut firmware (latest (unofficial) firmware) is still available here:

Need factory restore for aspire d257

You may be interested in having a look at "How to restore Acer Aspire One Netbook Back to factory settings" on YouTube.

But don't forget to backup your files before you do that.

Have you considered "just" doing the system restore and setting it back to the point of time when everything was working properly?
(In this case the path is " Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore).

I clicked completely restore system to factory defaults, but it does not respond

It's probably wanting you to insert some restore discs into the cd/dvd drive.

Some manufacturers leave it up to you to create the restore discs when you first purchase the system. Some put it on the hard drive for you, which sounds like is not your case. Don't sweat it because most times the restore discs that users have to create don't work.

Have you tried doing a System Restore? Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. Select a Restore Point (date and time) before you started having problems. Unlike System Recovery that takes you back to factory defaults and deletes everything, System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the Restore Point you selected).

If System Restore does not work for you, then you can always Reinstall your Operating System.

Ipod touch configuration

Hi Since you did not post the exact problem on setting up your Apple
well the best thing to do is to reset your IPOD and it will be back to original settings
Here's how:
How to Reset an iPod 32GB
Resetting a 32 GB iPod touch is a frightening prospect. The restoration process deletes all data, including applications, music, movies and everything else when the device is restored to factory standard condition. Luckily, iTunes gives you the ability to back up your data before wiping the device clean. This means if your device locks up regularly and is functioning poorly, or you've forgotten your password and you can't get in, you can wipe your iPod

Instructions
1 Launch iTunes on your computer and connect your iPod Touch using the USB cable provided with the device.
2 Select your iPod from the "Devices" list in iTunes and click the "Summary" tab. Click "Restore."
3 Click "Back Up" if you wish to back up your data before wiping the device clean. This is your last chance to save anything that hasn't yet been backed up to your computer. Click "Don't Back Up" if you would rather skip straight to the reset.
4 Click "Restore" and wait while iTunes formats your iPod Touch and reinstalls the factory standard software. Click "OK" when the process is complete.
5 Leave your device connected to the computer while it restarts. When it is again visible in the iTunes device list, the process is complete.

Tips & Warnings
iTunes will automatically launch a setup dialog when your iPod restarts. Click "Restore from the backup of" and select a backup date to restore your data to the device.

Unknown pattern has my xoom locked how can i get it to except a new pattern

If you don't know the pattern, you will need to restore the xoom to factory settings. This will delete everything on the device.
While powering on the device you need to hold the power button and either the up volume or down volume (usually its the up). This will load a menu and select restore factory defaults.

Comment back if you need more assistance.
