Continued discussion about my Bosch SHU9925UC

Hi, Well, the water is plenty hot! It drains out and then fills upagain and has actually leaked out all over my wood floors. Yikes! Iturned off the water underneath the sink and that has prevented mywasher from filling up and leaking. I am wondering if this was acoincidence because the overflowing dishwasher problem didn't happenuntil today after I repaired my leaky kitchen faucet. My husband alsotoday used our wet/dry vac on the outside lines to clear the linesbecause our airconditioner drip pan was overflowing. He thought therewas a clog somewhere and it seems to have fixed the problem. But thenthe dishwasher started malfunctioning directly after that. Is thisjust a coincidence? Is there a way I could just reset the dishwasher? Thanks for your help.

This can be an issue of loose fittings.. Follow the syeps below
1) Remove the service panel that runs along the front of the dishwasher just below the door. If it is screwed in place, remove the screws with a screwdriver. If the panel hangs on hooks, pull the panel out and swing it up to remove it from the hooks.
2) Check the end of the drain hose that connects to the dishwasher. If it's leaking, tighten the clamp with a screwdriver.(This explains why its trying to drain but its not)
3) Check the drain hose connection to the kitchen sink drain. Again, if it's leaking, tighten the clamp with a screwdriver.
4) Check for leaks around the water-inlet valve. If necessary, use an adjustable wrench to tighten the compression fitting that connects the water-supply line to the valve. If the fill hose is leaking, replace the spring clamp that is on the hose with a worm-drive hose clamp. It produces more clamping pressure. Use adjustable pliers to compress the spring clamp so you can pull the clamp and hose off the valve. Remove the spring clamp from the hose. Buy a worm-drive clamp at your hardware store, then install it and tighten it with a screwdriver.

You can do a main reset by turning off the dishwasher at the breaker box for at least 15 minutes. Your dishwasher should be on a single circuit, so it shouldn't affect any other appliance.

Hi,

Let's try the simplest reset, unplug from the mains for at least an hour. Thereafter, try/run and check for any error codes, any blinking lights or message display.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Machine seems to fill with water when not in use

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.If drain hose is checked ok then its confirmed problem of faulty water fill valve.
the fill valve is leaking. When they go bad they can leak water without being told to by the timer. I would replace the fill valve after pulling the hose off the fill end and watching to see if water drips out.

For getting parts you can get it from www.repairclinic.com

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Bosch SHU3036UC/U11 dishwasher does not stop filling with water

Hi,
It sounds as if the main program board has developed a fault - as it should come to a complete stop. The fact it kept the water valve open with the door open is a serious fault- so I would have it checked before using it again.

Most machines have a water-stop feature - so if it develops a leak - it will shut off the water. This clearly didn't happen.

Drain pump runs continuously. Nothing else happens!

Water had accumulated in the sump - a plastic tray at the bottom of the dishwasher which catches any leaked water. This operates a float switch which makes the drain pump run all the time. The fix was to tilt the dishwasher backwards to drain away the water. It isn't filling up again, so I'm not sure where the water came from, but I'll keep an eye on it!

take bottom front panel off to expose the bottom tray. you will find there is water in it. mop water out and appliance will operate ok. turn off at mains first.

if fault reoccurs, you have a leak which will have to be traced

Reset is probably a key combination, not sure which one though. Would have to refer to the manual. Unplugging it for a while should also reset it. With all the water cycling and overflowing some water may have gotten into an area of the dishwasher where it shouldn't have.

Here's a post
where the user had a problem that sounds a lot like yours. Read the last paragraph to see how they resolved it.

Here's another link for diagrams, manuals and how to guides for your unit.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Dishwater won't stop trying to drain even when door is opened

The drain valve is stuck open. This is electrically operated, but may have some debris inhibiting movement. If you can physically move it (with the power off) this should repair the problem.
