Question about Admiral AW22 Top Load Washer
I have a Admiral top loading washing machine, model AAV7000AWW, that leaks water when it spins. It is leaking under the machine and it is from the area where the bleach dispenser is. It isn't bleach because the water is soapy and it happens even when I don't use bleach. The machine was recently moved over 300 miles. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Any information would be helpful.

Here's the problem, its a "clocking" (timer) problem. When the wash cycle is finished it is supposed to pump down the level of the water and then begin to spin. If the clocking is off it begins to spin and pump at the same moment. Centrifugal forces cause the water to rise up the outer edges of the tub until it breaches the top and leaks from under the machine. Some people notice a hot motor smell as it causes the motor to overwork trying to spin the heavy load due to the weight of the water. Solution: replace the Clock (Timer) Or my personal solution front loaders are on sale for $599.00 at all the box stores (WM2250CW)
