Question about Dishwashers

My Bosch SHU9925UC dishwasher will not stop cycling and come to an end. I also noticed that a couple of weeks ago it stopped beeping to signal the end of the wash. Can anyone help me please? Thanks for any ideas.

The cycle will not finish if the water temperature is not high enough. You may have a faulty heating element. Please check for obvious defects in this component first. Let me know what you find.

Hi,

Initially sounds like a bad timer switch or controller board. A couple of questions pls:

  1. any recent power interruption;
  2. how old is the unit;
  3. anything out of the ordinary other than those posted;
  4. how is the water pressure
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

It is probably a faulty control panel, usually you have to replace it.

From the Appliance Repair Clinic:

The cycle doesn't complete
If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:

Water-heating cycle
Timer
Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

* On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

* On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Our Bosch does the same thing, we just open the door shut of the power and close the door again so the heat can sanitize the dishes. I don't recall if there is an alert off button though.

Hi,

To turn off the cycle completion signal on a Bosch dishwasher, please do the following:

1. Press and hold the right "CANCEL/DRAIN" button then press and hold the "ON/OFF" button
2. When the light above the "CANCEL/DRAIN" button illuminates and the beeping starts, release both buttons
3. Press the right "CANCEL/DRAIN" button repeatedly until the tone is at the desired volume, i.e. silent
4. Press the "ON/OFF" button again to confirm/set the desired volume.

Under counter Bosch,grinding noise

It sound like a pump issue. Open the service panel, remove the pump and try to rotate its pulley manually, it should turn freely.In case it doesn't,check if it is clear from any foreign object or it should be replaced. Good luck !
