Go to "codec all in 1" on the net. Install these files and you should be on your way. This happens with Window Media Player and Divx Player.

Problems installing modem with Windows Vista

If your Internet Service Proviser supplied the modem they would have supplied the driver including the configuration detail embeded in the CD.
If you don't have the CD, you need to contact your Internet Service Provider for this setup info plus installation CD and if they didn't supply the modem then you need to go to the Siemens WEB site to download the driver for your model modem.

when you had the internet installed, did you install the modem software for the modem? without the modem software, the modem cannot find the pc. if the modem connects directly to the pc, or even through a wired/wireless router, the modem software is a requirement. (i just went through all this myself w/ att dsl). if you have, or add, a router, that software will also need to be installed for those on the network to connect to the internet as well.

Accessing the internet

You can try downloading and reinstalling the drivers for the card. Take the name of the modem which should have been given in device manager and go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers and install.

If that doesn not work and your modem is a Card device, open your computer and check to see if the modem is inserted correctly.

If the modem has been installed from the start, try to search your recovery CD (hopefully you will have it) for the modems drivers there.

Wheni try and connect to the internet it says it can not find my modem

go into device manager to see if the modem is in the list (it should be),if you see a yellow exclamation mark next to it ,it means their is a problem with it .if so right click on it and select re install driver or update driver, this may fix the problem
or
go into control panel ,double click modem icon, then select modems tab, you should see your modem in the list .
(if not the driver has not been installed or modem has died) ,
if you see it,

double click it and then press query modem, another box should open and it will show what functions the modem has or does not have ,
if you see this ,then the modem is physically ok

hope this is of help
