I just got DSL installed by my local telco. They installed the Comtrend
CT-5621T Multi-port ADSL2+ Router. It currently is functioning in bridge mode but I want to use it as a router as well, but when I access the ebadmin page i am prompted for a username/password, the manual says defaults are root/12345, but that doesnt let me in. ISP doesnt know why and is of no help. I even reset the unit back to defaults and still same issue. I can view the status information on the webadmin page but cannot make any configuration changes. I am a network administrator with 9 years experience and I am at a loss for the solution. I have tried any and all variations of default logins for all type routers I have used before. CAn anyone explain this to me, whas the issue?? I personally thing its the ISP that has changed something in teh settings but they just started putting these devices in homes and the support does not even have a clye about them. Any help is appreciated.
same as the dude above me, i cant figure out the default user or PW
-   I have just had a Comtrend ADSL router installed by my ISP to replace a router that had failed. The model is CT-5621T. I also have a wireless router, Belkin model F5D9230-4 that is connected to the Comtrend. I can no longer download long files on the machines connected to wireless as the link times out after about 2 minutes. I did not have this problem before the Comtrend was installed. How do I trouble shoot this problem? All the firmware in both units is the latest version. -   bobkir

i've been using this belkin router for 6 months on my XP pcs. now, i lose my internet connection as soon as i plug in the cable between router and modem. as soon as i unplug the wired cable between router and modem, the connection is just fine. if the router is not plugged into the modem, all lights are on the modem. when the router is plugged in, all lights are on except internet on the router. so far i have: -checked the cables, all fine -checked the router on another computer, works fine -reset factory settings and reinstalled ware -power cycled about 1000 times -gone to the 192.168 page and tried to check settings, all seem OK but still get "no internet" status -called my ISP. Their response was "don't use the wireless router, since it affects your service." i am not sure where to go from here. if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear. thank you

my psp wont connet to the internet i had the MAC adress of the PSP added to exceptions list on my motorola SBG900 modem page (192.168.0.1), as well as adding it thru the NEW NAT PASSTHROUGH section (bypass firewall on), and i wen to PSP, flick on WLAN switch, went to network settings/infrastructure mode, scanned for network, my modem appears to be there with 100% signal frequency. and then i entered everything correctly, but when i test i get a message saying: "connection to the access point cannot be established" by the way my psp is a PSP-2002 model on version 5.51 and i also have McAfee installed on my computer. do i have to add the device to mcafee or somthing else? seriously this is getting kind of annoying :(
